I don't care who NSW name but no Anasta (he should have been on the bench at least) and no Hindmarsh (he doesn't stop which is a must in origin) ... very uncreative lookng team.

How the hell are peeps getting on Coopers back? He's the best defensive center in the world and has shown plenty in attack at origin level. It isnt his fault he struggles to get quality ball at club level; and when he does he would be involved a large percentage of saints trys.

Hornby on the other hand is a shocking choice, I like his effort at club level but has never shown much for NSW.

The thing about Wallace is that he's a competitor and he's never afraid to face a challenge. I'm not sure if he'll win a series, but IMO he'll go better than the likes of Orford, Kimmorley or Gidley in that position.

Both were well below Origin standard last year, which I guess is the reason they aren't there this year.

If it's Folau/Inglis...it maybe a lonnnng night.

If it's Tate it'll be fairly easy.

I'd swap Mason onto the bench and Fitzy to start in the 2nd row, it's a bit absurd having no full blown front rower on the bench.

I can live without Kite and Anasta being in the team, they are both onfield bystanders at rep level.

For those saying QLD will smash NSW. WTF drugs are you guys on? This team is fine with exception of Ben Hornby. This team is better then last years team. Including the Origin 3 side which actually won.

The way I see it, Pete - Quinn and Cooper are going to be marking Inglis/Folau. Whatever way NSW went on this flank, they weren't going to win this battle. So they did the right thing and went for two defensive players to cover this side, leaving the other side to do the attacking with Hayne and Gasnier.

I think NSW has picked form players in most positions but i think they really needed a specialist prop on the bench. Cross & White are going to need a breather after 20mins & bringing Laffranchi & Poppa Fitz on to bash the ball up really defeats the purpose of having them there. Fitzy is an 80 minute grinder not an impact player & Laffranchi is better off running a bit wider off the second receiver. Got to feel sorry for Anasta (Even though im not a fan). He is the form NSW no.6. And if Wallace loses his way than Anasta can take over. Having a debutant half and a lock playing no.6 doesn't make sense to me.
