They never took it away ... you could of claimed it in your taxation return as expenses. If you had the dockets / receipts if needed then you could always claim school expenses. The schoolkid bonus is just a payment to parents inplace of them attempting to claim it on their tax. Low income earners don't need submit a tax return now so a lot just got what they were entitled to and into their accounts in January.

A lot of people missed out because they didn't keep dockets. Good Guv'ment looking after the punters Ayyy

When you paid by card for your accommodation plus bar fridge plus phone calls plus movie hire .... did your account have the classification of the movie that you watched in house on your account.

Surely you mentioned that hotel bills are itemized. Does that include the classification of a hired movie.

Can you explain to moi ..... why the charges have the classification of the movie (i.e. R rated) and not the name of the movie. For what reason would that be.

Corporate credit cards are ten a penny in all large orbs ?. Positively encouraged as much cheaper than paper driven expense claims. Most orgs have guidelines on proper use of the card. Quite what if any were the HSU corporate card guidelines will be central to this case. To prove fraud the prosecutor will need to demonstatrate, beyond reasonable doubt, that the accused was deliberately intending to subvert the card guidelines. That will be a high bar to prove.

But I do consider it, in my opinion strongly objectionable that the Lance Armstrong of Australian Politics can rightly claim over $3,500.00 of tax payers money for overnight accommodation for an event he willingly entered into.

I dont like to bang my own drum Comrade Honourable Reefy Son, but now as a long time Cancer Council volunteer myself, it would never enter my mind to claim an allowance whilst taking part and organising of such events that I have partaken in.
