I think that it's a FAR better team than game 1. Players aren't being picked out of position in the backline for a change (with the exception of Tahu but that's not an issue). and Gidley if FINALLY back on the bench where he belongs (although if Lewis were fit I wouldn't pick him at all). But I still have issues with it:
1 - The team has been clearly picked with defence in mind (eg defensive centres in Scott and Cooper, 2 80 min second rowers on the bench)
2 - The attack will revolve too much around Hayne, Morris and Pearce and will probably be easy to shut down...
3 - Aside from Gidley there is not much in the way of impact coming off the bench, and it lacks size and go forward. LOD and TLL will have to have the games of their lives to provide the sort of impact a bench player needs to give in Origin.
All of this spells a NSW side that will be stronger in defence than the last few sides picked, but also weaker in attack. I suppose NSW's attack has been pretty screwed of late anyway (I'm hoping Pearce will change that) but overall I think NSW can only win this if they keep the scores low.
