I like the side and Gallen plays like a prop anyways, there will be no big change to his game, a much better team.

you're an idiot. So Gallen plays like a prop, it will help us win? We had 4 props plus Gallen and got smashed. Now we have 2 props plus Gallen. No big change?

And Hopoate is? If youre gonna choose someone at least choose someone who will be there for the medium term the Manly bloke is going away and not even first 2 centres for his club play him on the wing or nothing.

Hoppa is quick mate. Can tackle and score tries. He can play wing and fullback as well. Idris is a slow backrower.

Interesting team.

Would not be surprised to see Gidley playing fullback (Dugan is almost certainly out) and Snowden or Learoyd-Lahrs onto the bench.

So Stuart says one things, does another. QLD are just laughing, again.

Still don't understand why Gidley is an automatic pick - Young didn't do much wrong, and Gidley doesn't exactly instill any fear in the opposition.

QLD by 10-12 points.

Only glaring problem for me is the lack of props.

Ricky just said Snowden is carrying a spine injury and doesn't feel like he's up to it.

Hopoate is a better selection than the slowpoke Idris who is also a defensive nub.

Lewis & Watmough back is great.

But Merrin, Gallen and Mannah as our only props? Creagh? Fuuuuu-

William f**kin Hopoate?. Stuart has lost his mind.

That is why I refuse to follow NSW. They have no clue in the f**king world, Nathan Merritt has hardly put any foot wrong the whole year, He is one of the best under the high ball in the entire NRL, and he is a f**king specialist winger, and can find his way to the tryline.

Ricky Stuart you are a f**king dickhead!!!.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!

Lol@50uff$, Merrit is garbage.

Jennings, Lyon, Cooper all cant play, Hoppa is a far better choice then Idris, He would get murdered like he did last night in defense.

Paul Gallen has always played a prop role for 80 minutes, only difference now he'll be wearing 8. There's no need for 2 more on the bench

Good to see King gone, and with Morris injured he was going to miss the cut anyway but no real loss.

Lewis and Kidley on the reserves bench look good, althogh with Dugan out Kidley may get moved to fullback? I like that the selectors have given young Will Hopoate a taste of Origin football. I think the kid will become a main-stay for the Blues in the near future, hopefully he gives us all a pleasant surprise the way Uate did last game. I believe in this team.

Hopoate is leaving the NRL after this season.

Umm, hes going on his mormon mission next year.

This side is better than game 1, I don't know why you Blues fans are bagging it.

Gallen does the job a prop is supposed to do, unlike King.

So the solution to our problems is add more backrowers? FMD nobody sees that we'll get smashed in the go-forward. QLD have 4 props, and their second-rowers can slot in at prop too. NSW have 2 props, a lock who is a prop apparently, 2 pieces of shit at second row and Bird and Watmough. We'll get beaten by 18+

You obviously didn't watch game one Mitchell. The two starting props took up a jersey each and stood on the field for a while, watching play go by before being given a rest so they could put their feet up while Gall did their work.:crazy::crazy:
Wake up mate, we don't have any front rowers worth wearing an origin jersey. FFS. Where have you been the past 5 years?

Gidley to fullback (sigh) and a prop to come onto the bench?

I think I get it. Game 1 was to get the core of the team to be able to handle QLD's attack and build decent defensive combinations. The players who are missing here not through injury (Young, King) are defensive players at best and in positions that defensive combinations are unnecessary. The left side actually looks better now (because of Hayne being there, not because Jennings is gone). It's a fit team and if Gallen can get through 60 minutes at front row, having one interchange prop won't matter.

So basically I think the idea is;

a) The boys have learned to handle what QLD throw at them.

b) Time to throw everything back at them.

God help the team if Gallen gets injured though. This tactic would play out better if Merrin wasn't there though. Strange selection. There are multiple players that would be better than him. It's a very risky balance. A very Ricky Stuart side though. I like the idea somewhat. I think Gallen in the backrow and Scott out of the team with Galloway, Learoyd-Lahrs or another 40 minute big body would have been safer and equally effective option, but oh well.

As happy with it as I could be since there are no Tigers.

Still a good team.....

Still possible to win..

Only bad on the team is Kidley. Hoppa is a suprise but a great footballer. Good to see Choc back. Just support your team and support the boys.

GO NSW!
