I didn't say Tsoulos was NOT overeweight just less overweight then Muckert is. Tsoulos is supposed to be big he is a prop and to play the type of game he needs to he needs a lot of size.

Muckert is a 2nd rower he is meant to be agile and speedy and with the extra baggage he is carrying he isn't able to be that type of player.

Unfit may have been a better term to use then overweight ok but the point is Muckert isn't anywhere near the level of fitness he needs to be a regular in 1st grade.

I agree with you that Armit (and if you going to bag Smith for not picking him at least get his name right) should be in the top grade but not at the expense of Afamasaga but either with Vella or Kaufusi dropping out.

I watched more games in reserves than you ever can so dont start doubting my ability to read and judge players in our Flegg or Premier league Teams.

lol, you better not be referring to Hurriflatch here, boy. If so, then you don't know Jack squat! This fella turns up before the gates are opened and sits there watching every minute of the junior games, taking notes and stats like you wouldn't believe.

If there is one person not employed by the Club who knows more about our juniors than anybody else, it's Hurriflatch. You don't even come close to comparing to him, so don't even try and don't ever question his knowledge of our juniors.

You really are full of yourself, aren't you boy?!!!!

Muckert may not be overweight. Look at Widders. Or John Simon. Bloke looked like he had a perpetual beergut. Didn't stop him running 80m to score at brookvale on day did it!

Muckert being unfit isn't any reason to write the bloke off as a waste of a signing. He did miss a large chunk of the pre-season with a broken cheek bone and only came back a few weeks back. He's obviously just not match fit quite yet. I'll reserve judgement until he's back to 100% fitness because I watched him closely last year with the Cowboys and he looked a very good prospect.

and yes he could well once fit be a good player but he simply isn't fit enough right now to be in 1st grade.

WELL THEN HOLLYWOOD JESUS- I DONT JUST TURN UP TO WATCH THE BOYS PLAY I ALSO WATCH THEM TRAIN AND CHAT TO THE COACHING STAFF AND TRAINERS-
AND BY THE WAY I HAVE BEEN DOING IT FOR YEARS NOW-PEOPLE THINK IM OBSESSED-BUT I LOVE IT AND KNOW AND SOMEHOW MEMORISE EVERY JERSEY FLEGG PLAYER AND PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER FOR EVERY CLUB-NOT ONLY THE EELS.
ANYWAY IM NOT HERE TO MATCH KNOWLEDGE AS EVERBODY HAS AN OPINION-BUT I WATCH THE PARRA BOYS TRAIN AND PLAY FOR ALL GRADES WHERE I CAN AND FROM THIS YEARS LOT THE BETTER PLAYERS IN FLEGG HAVE BEEN TIM SMITH AND BIG JACK BUT AS HURRIFLATCH SHOULD KNOW JACKS FITNESS ISNT UP TO OTHER PLAYERS IN OUR FLEGG SQUAD-HE IS MIDFIELD IN FACT-SO HOW IS HE GOING TO PLAY 80 MINUTES-IMPOSSIBLE
TIM SMITH IS A BIT BETTER IN HIS FITNESS BUT WATCHOUT FOR HIM AS HE HAS AN X-FACTOR TO HIS PLAY WHICH OPPOSITIONS DONT READ IN DEFENCE- HE HAS GOOD SIZE FOR HIS AGE, CAN PLAY FIVE-EIGHT EASILY, V.GOOD KICKING GAME SHORT AND LONG, BUT I LIKE THE WAY HE SETS UP HIS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE MEN AND GIVES THEM SPACE-

BY THE WAY HURRIFLATCH,
MUCKERT IS A VERY GOOD PLAYER IVE WATCHED ALL HIS 20 ODD GAMES FOR THE COWBOYS LAST YEAR AND HE MAY SEEM BIG-BUTTED AND STOCKY BUT HIS SPEED AND FITNESS AND AGGRESSION LEVELS ARE IMPRESSIVE AND HIS BACKGROUND AS A CENTRE MAYBE EXPLAINS WHY HE HITS GAPS SO WELL.
HIS GAME AGAINST NEWTOWN A FEW WEEKS AGO NOW WAS A BIT DISSAPPOINTING-BUT WITT AND FELETI DIDNT REALLY SET HIM UP ENOUGH WITH GOOD BALLS ADN BESIDES NEWTOWN HAMMERED US FOR MOST OF THAT MATCH

I'll say the same thing, and use it in my post.

Only a rabid lunatic would write off Muckert after 1 game off the bench when everyone played possibly the worst game for the club in a decade!

Muckert, last year, was a rising back rower talent at NQ, and may just be the bloke needed to partner Hindy in the backrow.

Muckert will pariobably, like McKinnon, be everybodies favorite player in mid July.

BTW, Game First, I think there is a clause in the conditions of use of this site about having the caps lock on. You don't want Colonel to enforce this rule, and neither do I, because you make a fair bit of sence. Ok mate?

Anyway, if ARMITT is not a first grader - i am a very bad judge-he hits like a block of granite and often for 80 minutes- his ball running is simple and straight with good mobility-he has put on too muscle since his knee op but i cannot get over why he is not rated with Cayless. Cannings and Peek missing.
I might be missing something please tell me if i am.

CAN ANYONE TELL ME THAT ARMITT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
Anyway, im so pleased for Mckinnon who has been always a good footballer but his defence and aggression and leadership for the last 3 weeks has been excellent-
i hope Smithy doesnt get in his ear and tries to tell him what angle to run and what part of the field he should be lurking-let him play what he sees!

Armitt is class and no one doubts that. Last I Heard he was pretty damn sick with the flu and he may still be being effected by that.

I agree with you on Armitt, he does have great potential and is very passionate and willing. He does need to work on his positional play in defence though.

I agree with you GAME FIRST,

Especialls what u wrote about Tim Smith and Muckert and Armitt. U obviously know Talent when u see it.

Muckert needs time to get his Fitness back, he is a solid player Similar to Daniel Wagon.

Can someone show me where I said Muckert AT FULL FITNESS is not a good player.

Or where I bagged Armit??

please someone, anyone show me I'm waiting.

and obviously Tim Smith would have better fitness then Afamasaga he is afterall a halfback not a 2nd rower.

Just like John Morris can play more mins then Nathan Cayless but thats not saying Cayless is a bad player.

Fitness wise you can only really compare players who play the same position and at this point in time Afamasaga is fitter then Muckert.

Muckert & Tsoulos cannot really be compared as I've already said.

Damn I wish people would read my posts before commenting on them.
