I can see why though. They want a 'quick' spinner in India, O'Keefe regularly bowls around 82kms give and take a few. Who was the best spinner in India vs England- Panesar, who bowls 95kms. That is why losing Beer was terrible. I sort of knew they would take Doherty as he is the next best in that range of left arm orthodoxes.

I'll be shocked if Mitch Johnson isn't in the team - they love him and will have him because he might be able to score some runs at number 8. For some reason Siddle is seen as the 'heartbeat' of the team, so our 2 most dangerous bowlers (Pattinson/ Starc) will be resting in the hotels when Henriques plays...

I would rather rotate the quicks, the Ashes is the most critical one for quicks, you can get away with an average quick in India as spinners should get most of the wickets.

Things are bad , but I refuse to believe Johnson will play over a fit pattinson.

I do feel it had something to do with the conditions- Indian conditions you need to be a bit quicker through the air, see Panesar, and others that have done well recently. O'Keefe is a tad slow for these conditions.

Whether right or wrong, that's far too thought out for Invalid, Locky.

If that's all it boiled down to, SOK would've come ahead of Doherty in the ODIs, even if only for his superiority with the bat.

If they don't play Khawaja and the Indian's rip through the top order and the Aussies can kiss their ass goodbye. Simple as that. If an accomplished batsman is put behind 3 dickwads with no technique, no genuine ability to read conditions and IMO no real potential to get any better than they currently are then we deserve to get routed. This is a borderline pathetic squad.

Doolan should be in for Maxwell
Burns should be in for Smith
O'Keefe should be in for Doherty
Henriques can stay in.

I hope Inver's and co are awake when we are 4/40 and Maxshit and Smith are in trying to save our innings and the game. I also hope they hold themselves accountable.

Okeefe is so clearly a better bowler it needs an explanation.
