Went go well to scramble down the right edge after a Cronulla forward popped a good offload.

The next play is the last for the Sharks and they drill it into touch, 10m out from Wenty's line.

Another poor kick chase on Gardner sees him thieve 50m from Wenty and he pops up a second time in support to nearly steal a try but he just can't get his mits to the ball and it is cleaned up by Wenty.

Pat Mataele is down after some strong contact and the ref signals time off.

We resume play with a penalty to Wenty for a high shot on Pat Mataele, who is running off the field with what looks to be a bloody nose.

Wenty go close after Harrison puts C.MaKenzie into space near the try line but the Sharks scramble well and pull him down in time.

Mullaney (in#19) rolls in a grubber on the last but it is just too heavy and we come back for a 20m restart.

Cronulla begin to rumble up the middle of the field but stall on the last after a woeful kick that goes backwards. The Sharks recover the ball and put in a desperate chip kick and get a fortuitous bounce, combined with poor hands from Wenty to get a scrum.

Despite the momentum and possession shift, Wenty defend with intent and force a mistake as the Sharks sweep out to our right edge.

And all is the good work is undone as Cronulla defend fiercely and put pressure on our kick. They charge it down and recover it on our 20m line.

Cronulla perhaps miss a chance down our left edge as they prove to be too hesitant to shift the ball laterally, giving Wenty time to number up.

The big prop, Walter Vaeu is in the right place to field the grubber kick and fights his way out to the 10m libe.

Calm and cool from Dom Reardon there as he defuses the bomb ingoals.

Wenty work it out via MacKenzie and Vaeu, who finds support with a nice offload.

Lovely stuff there!

Mullaney loops out back to link with Harrison who in turn finds MaKenzie. There is space now for Wenty as Cecil puts Reardon past his opposite number before Harrison looms large in support to go over for his third for the day!

The ranga is red hot today as he makes it a hat trick.

Comical stuff from Wenty now. Mullaney slips near halfway and throws the ball out wide, forcing Reardon to clean it up. However Reardon, preferring to fart rather than think with his brain, takes a big air swing at the ball instead of picking it up and Cronulla come away with the ball.

Wenty get away with it though as the half time siren rings out during the next tackle.

Second Half is underway.

Cronulla go on the attack immediately and very nearly cross outwide but the touchie signals that the Sharks player was out.

Wenty receive a penalty as they work it out, putting them in the Cronulla red zone.

As they attack down the left-edge Harrison puts his through, looking for a fourth but the defenders stay on him. He frees his arms looking for support and nearly finds it but we lose the ball.

Cronulla get back-to-back penalties to get them to halfway.

Stupid mistake from Wenty as they knock on at dummy half while trying to execute a mouse trap.

Fantastic scrambling defence from Wenty across a number of sets now. Excellent commitment.

Cronulla manage to force a line drop out after a grubber from a prop and on the back of a mountain of possession, they finally crack the Wenty goal line defence.

They get another crack at Wenty's try line but the Magpies hold them out and recover the ball before finally getting thier own penalty.

Penalty to Cronulla for attacking a man in the air, they resume play 15m short of halfway and look to attack our left edge.

Wenty force an error as the Sharks cross halfway and gain possession.

An excellent carry from Dom Readron brings Wenty into the Shark's red zone before a barnstorming run from Taniela Lasalo smashes through some would be defenders and crosses under the posts.

Great football from Wenty now! They are starting to dominate proceedings as they rumble the fancied Shark's forward pack.

They reap the rewards too as Dylon Gilbert crashes over on the right edge!

They nearly cross again from the kick off as Raiwalui streaks down the right sideline, he realises he won't make it and puts in an excellent grubber that traps Garnder ingoals for a line drop out.

Wenty draw out a penalty from the ref right in front and opt to take the shot at two.

Cronulla look for the short kickoff. It travels the legal distance but the Sharks lose the ball forwards in the contest for the ball.
