Isaac Maliota slips a fantastic offload away to support which gives Dean Parata a chance to scoot from dummy half where he is held up over the line. Nice play from all involved.

Jake Mullaney drops it cold from the restart of play and Cronulla get a scrum off their goal line.

Cronulla come down our right edge, making a half break but as the #5 from Melbourne, Tonumaipea cops a high shot.

That was nasty, he is down and looks like he is having a convulsion. The trainer attends to him and eventually he comes to and can walk off.

From the penalty restart, Wenty force the runner into touch and earn the ball back.

Went to the Wenty Leagues club last night for dinner for the first time in 20 years, highly recommend it, good atmosphere - still feels like a big community club

There is a massive effort from Taniela Lasalo now as he mows down the Sharks centre and forces him into touch!

That will do us here at Ringrose Park as Wenty kill the ball from the scrum.

Just to echo Stagger's sentiments...that was a f**king amazing effort from our mob. They put in for the full 80min and completely overwhelmed their massively more fancied opponents.

I believe that secures Wenty a spot in the post-season as they have grafted a four point gap between themselves and Mounties with one game to go.

At least we'll have a team to support 1 week into the semis at least...

Fortunately my ears and nose are not amazing enough to detect a fart from 20m away in a populated area...however I am well versed in the ways of the brainfart and can spot one instantaneously if it occurs within my vision.

It will be nice to have a team to support in the finals but I can not wait until the media incorrectly reports that we ran last in all grades in 2013, much like they did this year when they claimed we ran last in all grades in 2012 despite Wenty making the semi finals.

He definitely wasn't playing for Wenty earlier in the season in the NSW Cup, Colonel.

I defer to Stagger's knowledge as to whether he is a mid/late season signing though.

It's the return of team captain Taniela Lasalo that has lifted them. Eels contracted player Daniel Harrison also scored three tries today. We actually have pretty good depth.

I think your correct there he seems to have turned up out of the blue played mostly Sydney grade and RM cup
