I like the look of Santi. Got real energy in defence making 4 straight tackles at one point.

Great half from Wenty, completely dominated proceedings.

The right edge for Wenty has been superb with Sandow, Morgan and Ualesi all starring. Sio has done well on the end of their hard work.

Paulo has a fantastic start to the game with some powerful runs while the rest of the pack backed him up well.

I would love to see Wenty bury Newtown in the second half.

#ruthless.

Luck for Newtown immediately in the second half as they blatantly drop the ball in the tackle only for the ref to call play on.

Newtown make the most of the call as they expose Wenty on their left-edge with a very simple sweeping play to Gallant who slices through outwide and then centres the ball.

Shades of the game last night there.

Goulding adds the extras.

Gower and Santi make a bone rattling tackle to bring up the last play for Newtown.

They send a bomb centre field but Faraimo is well position to take it.

Wenty complete a simply set in reply before sending an easy kick to Gallant.

Faraimo takes another bomb easily but Wenty come unstuck two plays later as Sio loses possesion.

Newtown scrum 15m out from the Wenty goal line.

Another terrible call from the ref as he misses an obvious knock on and Newtown prosper again as they score down the opposite side this time.

Goulding fails to hit the extras.

Wenty are much better defensively this set as Santi gets well involved again.

Faraimo shepherds the ball voer the sideline to get the ball back for Wenty.

Morgan is struggling in backplay and is coming off with a trainer aiding him.

Penalty to Newtown and they find touch. Ironic cheer from the Newtown supporters.

Santi has absolutely nailed the #16 for Newtown and time has been called off.

Wenty get one back from the ref as Faraimo looks to have knocked on but the ref calls knocked back.

It doesn't make too much of a difference for Newtown as Tangira (?) drops the ball a few tackles later.

Poor hands from Newtown give Wenty the break as they looked to have an overlap on our right edge but can not get the ball to hand.

Santi makes some nice metres via some deft footwork before Sandow goes on a run down the right. He is halfway through a hole but loses the ball in contact.

Newtown attack our left edge but their winger drops the ball. Faraimo cleans it up and takes the tackle before the touchy comes in to stop the clock.

The ref has a conference with the sideline official and ends up blowing a penalty to Newtown for something.

Great pressure and line speed from Santi helps force an error from Newtown. He his having a great second half.

He can actually run the ball a bit so I'd say he offers a lot more.

Alvaro picks up a much needed penalty after the third man tries to attack his knees.

The ref blows time off to warn the Newtown captain about the matter.

Junior Paulo is back on as Wenty sweep to the left but Rawalui's pass to Faraimo is off the mark. Faraimo gets aggravated and belts the dummy half late to give away a stupid penalty.

Things hit up on the next play as Lasalo belts the Newtown runner to force a mistake.

Wenty get their first real chance to attack in some time but the ball comes free of Junior Paulo's grasp and the ref calls a scrum. There might have been a Newtown hand or two in there.
