Yep. I'll happily throw Whateley his dues.

What about his head though? Whats going on there?

That pencil neck Anthony Hudson who does ADL for Fox and 7 has the strangest cranium ever. His face could fit on a 10 cent piece, but his skul seems to be elongated like its been stuck in a vaccuumof some description.

f**k me. It is a weird head. Creeps me out.

Richard Hinds looked different to his pictures in the paper.

Seems to have put on some weight.

Gerard Wheatley goes ok for a Victorian.

I had to laugh today.

They were talking about the father of some Swans player (Kennedy?) and John Stanley comes in and says this bloke is so well known he is even recognised throughout all of Sydney.

I mean WHO?????????? He was apparently a well-known Hawthoone coach several years ago and he is well known in Sydney.

WHO????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

I thought John Stanley was better than that. Maybe he's gone a little crazy since his beloved Dragons are long gone in 2012.

Yeah.. I don't watch this show.

Would love to have a spot of crumpets at Barrie's place and upper deck his toilet.

Anthony Hudson always reminded me of Andrew Hansen from The Chaser. The other AFL commentator, Stephen Quartermain must be Graham Creed's (weatherman from ABC news) long lost twin brother

Unless it is Ben Kennedy, I think they have missed the mark... again...

John Stanley is and always has been a dribbler of the hoghest order

Most of Sydney do not know more than one AFL player, and that would be Israel Folau or perhaps Plugger someone

No wonder Stanley got puinted to weekend mornings so he can peddle his chardonnay socialist, and the need to be loved by everyone agenda. Merkin

I dont mind Stanley, but he is way way way off the mark with this one. I dont know any Thwaannies players.
The only Swan i know of is Wayne and he is a bad politician

Barry just stated it will be announced soon that Manly v Canberra in China will kick-off the season 2 weeks before Round 1.

Interesting comments on the Offsiders this morning..

Barry was having a shot at John Stanley about the fact that the Sydney A League derby got 19K at Parramatta stadium...something the NRL would never see...

John Stanley shot back something about ..."dont worry about the NRL, the publicity and interest for the Sydney A League derby was much bigger than the Sydney - GWS Giants AFL derby...."

Of course none of the three Victorians on the panel made any comment and the topic was quickly changed...

Andrew Webster on Sky Sports Radio this morning was the same.

"Parramatta would kill for a crowd like that".

Yeah good one Webster; they got 46k to their last home game you tool.

They also averaged 16k despite getting the spoon.

People seem to forget that Parra Stadium was half full for the Wanderers' first home game at Parra Stadium.

About time someone brought this up.

And good points about Parra.

Everyone in the press likes to kick RL. There was barely a mention of the RL Test match and then a sign off with 'oh Canberra and Manly apparently to play in China'. If it was the AFL, the whole show would be dedicated to how the AFL is truly international game blah blah blah.

The Test match was great watching. I defy the AFL people to ever put on an international of that quality.

As for the A-League - geez, they've lost a Nth Qld and Gold Coast team in 2-3 years. Then, after forever being told Western Sydney was the cradle of Soccer in Australia, they whip up a team at the last second. You'd think people would be banging on the A League's door for a team. And then the debut match of Sydney's latest and greatest team, a team destined to live forever, gets 10,000 turn up to their first match. Hmmm...

Let's also wait until the Cricket warms up and the Tests are on and the BBL gets cracking. The fickle fans of A-League will shrivel off in the heat. I know I'm sitting back twiddling my thumbs and have even turned to NFL and completely CBFC watching A League.

Well it was a News Limited article so it was full of shit already but I seem to recall this isn't the first time people have written articles praising A-League's rise to the NRL's detriment?

How did that go last time?
