One for the Quinny bashers

Have heard a whisper there's a good chance Quinny is seriously considering a move to Manly. Heard this last night, from a mate of his. I was on the drink pretty heavy so the details are a bit sketchy, but I think it has something to do with that's where his girlfriend is from.

I won't lose any sleep if he leaves. I think he is a good winger but far too inconsistent. When you've had the likes of MacDougall, Albert and Tahu on the wing over the years you get a bit sick of the sh*t Quinn dishes up a lot of the time.

I really think we need to sign a class winger and centre this year, i can't see it happening. Luke MacDougall would be an excellent buy IMO.

luke mcougall is too old isnt he? shouldn't we look to towards a long term replacement? someone young? dont we have some good young guys coming up?
centre wise, hopefully brian smith sees that kurt gidley is more of a centre then 5/8th and sees that brad tighe is like 10000 times better then carmont. that means they can pair up in the centres for the next lets say five years at least right?

I used to go to school with Quinn, I haven't spoken to him in a while but I'm pretty sure the only reason he'd move to manly is if the money was in it. Thats not to say hes after the money, but if the knights cant pay him what other clubs think hes worth, what choice does he have?

Hell no, by all accords their elitist attitude is appalling, Madpup looks good as everyone else around him is dreadful, and Maddog is too injury prone to be worth while....

Theyre the best options if we were to buy any offcontract wingers though.. Id like A. Macdougall to be on match payments though because he is injury prone as you said. I think Luke would be a good pickup.

Luke yeah probably wouldnt be too bad, but too me we have plenty of others comming through who are just as good.

I hope he doesn't go. Because I don't see any many good wingers that are coming off contract at the end of the year, and with Carney going we can't lose both our wingers. Quinn is only 23 and still has a lot of time in him to develop his game. He isn't an Inglis but he is probably the only option we've got, taking into account that Seage is injury prone, Uate is only 17, Salkeld although good last year haven't any reports of game breaking efforts and Tighe is much suited to the centres.

Luke would be a good buy...but he tends to spend a fair bit of time on the sidelines as well...

Quinn has played well this year, defensively he's better than Carney, and positionally he's no worse than Carney. Everyone here seems very forgiving of Carneys faults (and he's got plenty) I'd be very interested to see how many trys Carney would score with another centre other than Midley inside him. Quinn has converted some very difficult put downs this year playing outside a very average centre. I'd like to see him stay.
