If they get done in the ASADA investigation, on top of the blatant salary cap payment to Gallen - they should.

I'm dissapointed the NRL didnt take sterner action over the breach - but probably more dissapointed that we can see teams stripped of comps and premiership points - yet clubs still break the cap illegally.

Was that even a deterrent at all? How long did it take to even catch the storm? Even then it wasn't even the NRL that caught them they were just tipped off. I have no doubt that this sort of thing isn't uncommon at all, same as the ElephantJuice in sport despite only a few scape goats getting caught out in each code.

With asada and the AFL determining that Essendon systematically doped their squad with illegal substances and losing all points this season, can we expect the same punishment for the Sharks.

Asada will now turn their attention solely to the sharks so a decision must be imminent.

Should they be allowed to play in this years final series with so much contraversy surrounding the club.

Is it fair that a side miss the eight due to the sharks inclusion and how will that look if they are suspended next season due to a protracted legal process.

I don't know if ASADA have substantial proof against the sharks like they do with Essendon, haven't been following it.. Because I don't care if they are on substances.. I'd back Melbourne to still beat them even all elephant juiced up..

Assume that the players all get off though, like Essington players.

It's like US Postal being disqualified from the Tour De France, but Armstrong keeps on riding.

No Essendon player has been cleared.

The club has been charged with bringing the game into disrepute.

ASDA investigation continues in respect of players. No decision yet

It's official; just saw breaking news on Channel 9. Essendon have been dumped from the Finals.

Is this punishment determined by the AFL only? Or is it ASADA as well? The way I understand it this is the AFL's doing only without ASADA's involvement. The reason I ask is that if ASADA isn't done/involved we may still see criminal/civil charges laid.
