ooh what a player gallen is . fantastic . ribs 2heads up the wrong way lol
May i be so bold as to suggest that the record for state of origin 2014 should read NSW 2-1 with an asterisk. And in the footnotes be a notation similar to: were helped in halting the record 8 wins in a row by the man of the series, captain p.gallen, later admitting to taking a banned substance and would have been banned for all 3 games had he been found out earlier.
At the least I would expect wada to insist on any player involved having their rep caps expunged and any winners medals returned during the suspension period. We had players playing in RLWC, SOO and Anzac test involved. Every other athlete would have their medals, records etc removed and in some cases they have had to pay back winning money.

You'll be right as the whole thing is a joke and making the Australian sporting scene look farcical. I don't expect we will see any reasonable punishments handed out in this case.
You may expect that, I won't. Let's see who's right.
In every other sport athletes are suspended pending outcome. In ours we let them play for 9 months then call it a suspension. Total joke.
errr why would anyone have been suspended for the last 9 months when ASADA had not asked the NRL to issue any infractions?
players only got show cause notices in the last week you idiot
Talk about no consistency in punishment, Gallen plays in RLWC and earns $120k and a winners medal, plays in SOO and earns $90k and a winners medal, all why suspended.
Now imagine if he had been a sprinter and won gold at the Olympics then admitted illegal drug taking. Do you think he would be allowed to keep the medal and winnings? Of course not, hence why it is a joke and other athletes have every right to be questioning why there is a rule for them and one for NRL players.
I don't care who they play for, the thing stinks and is an embarrassment to Australian sport. As a sports fan and a RL fan I want to see justice and consistency, cronulla has got nothing to do with it. Though if they want to close them down and give us a team I won't say no!
If Essendon gets the same farcical treatment I will be equally scathing of it.

i was happier when this seperate thread was in the interstate forum. i am not interested in anyone else at cronulla, wooden spooners deservedly, but their captain led nsw and won man of the series, while he should have been suspended, to stop an amazing SOO record of 8 straight.May i be so bold as to suggest that the record for state of origin 2014 should read NSW 2-1 with an asterisk.
