Actually I do f**king know.

My wife and I went to the Uk for 2 weeks in 2013 and for 3 weeks last year.

We spent way under 10 grand on both occasions.

Stayed in London for a week both times too. Had a hire car for all bar 3 days on both occasions and we travelled from Bath to Newcastle and Whitby to Liverpool.

I agree it wouldn't be hard to spend a shitload of money, but that doesn't mean it costs that much to do it.

Because you're a cheap merkin it means Perth got ripped off? Lol solid logic there. Your bill is irrelevant, they might like fancy hotels and restaurants for all you know.

You're either shit at organising trips, or have been massively ripped off.

$4.5k flights
$1500 Wembley tickets for family
$1500 hotel (v nice place opposite St Pauls)
$2k+ spending money

Watching your team walk out at Wembley after 29 years - $priceless!

I don't want to add it up as it probably cost a lot more as we stopped at Malta on way home!

No. As i said, it could have also meant he is shit at organising holidays.

And if you have never in your life sought a better price for something, than you are a dumb merkin.

I once travelled to watch WA reds in Jim Beam cup. Reckon I must be one of the few stupid enough to travel perth to Sydney to watch a JB cup game!

Gotta say I admire your dedication to the cause....just a pity you talk out of your arse on a regular basis!

GTFO It also could mean 1000 other things. You jumped to a stupid conclusion and I called bullshit. Of course I look for the best price(which isn't always the cheapest) but I don't assume everyone else has the same financial restraints as me.

boys chill, I'm good at organising holidays, saved a mint on the hotel, but the wife has good tastes and expects the best lol. Sending her off down regent street with my credit card so I could hit the warm pints was a mistake though I will admit lol.

I jumped to no stupid conclusion. I've done the same journey and spent less.

I never said he wasn't allowed to spend whatever he wanted.

This is humorous: an argument between a fan of a club that doesn't exist, and a fan of a club that barely exists.

I know you havent heard of much outside your Brisbane bubble but have you heard of our Woolooware Bay development. I think its a sign that we exist & will continue to exist.

I found it most interesting listening to the Big Sports Breakfast this morning & they interviewed Fox Footy's Julian DeStoop.

Said a small number of Essendon players actually didn't participate in the injection program, electing to not do it.

They obviously smelt a rat from the start, so why didn't others get cold feet & pull out. Surely they knew something was not right....

But I thought peer pressure and wanting to go along with the team were forces so strong that resistance was impossible? I thought all players just trust everything their coaches tell them to do, no matter what, and are just naive simpletons in need of guidance?

Its not so much peer presure. Some people are just more likely to question authority so the inverse is true and some people are more willing to follow. We established 60 odd years ago that doing what an authority figure told you isnt an excuse for wrongdoing but it still doesnt change the fact some people will do (mostly) whatever an authority figure says
