Souths and Easts have the best forward packs in the comp. Surely at least one of them will get picked.

Both have packs full of Kiwis, Poms and Qlders

His game vs the Eagles was poor. He didnt get involved and was invisible....and that game was "originesque". If he thinks Origin will be like playing the Panthers then he will be in for a rude shock

Yeah I'd have to agree there and this is coming from a Souths supporter.

He's a great finisher, but more is needed from him especially in the big games and for me, he just doesn't do enough.

Picking him would be like picking James McManus again.

O'Donnell maybe. Surely there is one half decent NSW forward in those two teams. But your right now i really think about it - they are all foreigners.

The fringe origin forwards in the Souths and Roosters packs would surely be Mitch Aubusson and Steve McQueen.

Maubs doesn't fit the "BIG HARD FORWARD" motif that NSW goes for and McQueen is a queenslander so would have zero chance forcing his way into that pack (although honestly wtf Nate Myles does to hold down a mortgage on a maroons jersey I do not know)

As a roosters fan I know all too well about Myles' propensity to only put in 3 games a year.

NSW used to carry a bunch of good but ultimately not origin standard backrowers back when they were the dominant side and could play favourites (Fletcher, Timmins, Steve Simpson, etc). Personally I think the same thing is keeping Myles in the team.

Cordner is a NSWelshman too. Probably a bit soon for SOO right now though

Gone for Tafua at LW over any of the the others vying for the wing because of his size, ability to relieve the forwards if required and of course, he can finish a movement well, and he normally plays on the left for Manly so no massive adjustment required for him in defence.

I've already discussed the rest of the squad.

I reckon this one can really take it to QLD, especially up the middle. We just need Carney & Pearce to have the confidence and voice up the attacking raids on 4th & 5th tackles. Get out of the way Gallen.

As I said, Sutton relies on his forwards to dominate and the threat of Inglis alongside him. Reynolds is purely a game manager at this point of his career. An origin half needs more than that. Let him develop more rather than throwing into the wild jungle of this arena and destroy him at this level for ever like all our other halves recently.

I am hearing Galls knee is worse than the initial scan showed, so he may be out of Origin 1, so the above becomes more possible.
