Origin 2013 NSW side

....and game 2 and 3???

Game 2 Paul Gallen got shifted into lock forcing Greg Bird out onto the fringes, which led to him hogging the ball and that side not being nearly as effective. Game 3 was the same except Hayne got moved to the other side of the field and that combination with Jennings wasn't there anymore. But mind you, Brett Morris did play quite well. I think it's quite funny how Stuart decided to change the combinations on the side that did well initially.

That's why I said I'd f**k Morris off. Jennings left centre; Ferguson on the right.

What did Morris do wrong last series? He was solid down that right side and kept GI more quiet than any other centre we've had. The problem down that right side was Glenn Stewart, who didn't know how to pass the f**cking ball.

Is it still racist if they pick Ferguson over Merritt?

An aboriginal coach picking one aboriginal winger, over another aboriginal winger?

What say you Anthony Mundine:

There's no doubt Ferguson has been playing well but why do people want to pick him out of position?

Not really out of position. He's played just as much on the wing as he has in the centres.

Obviously a much better centre though. Keeps him away from the sideline.

Yeah Furgo has played wing before but he was pretty ordinary at it, real rocks and diamonds stuff.

He needs to be at centre if he is going to be picked. Outside of Tate, specialist centres are a liability on the wing most of the time

Turd Fergo is rocks and diamonds. He would be strong on kick returns but his ball carry is a concern

Rocks and diamonds was more about in one play he might make a 40m break but then get run into touch on it. He doesn't do that anymore and anyone who believes this to be the case simply doesn't watch raiders games.

He does drop the ball occasionally but that's down to the way the raiders sometimes give him the ball right on the defensive line which can be a pretty effective tactic but will always lead to the odd drop.

He will never be a rocket scientist but he has removed much of the dumb nonsense from his game. I mean he isn't perfect and there is always the chance that playing origin might bring out some idiocy in him but if nsw wants x factor and they want an inform player its hard to go past him.

Uhh he was actually quite a good winger wtf are you talking about.

Edit

just looked it up. He spent half last season at wing and won the fans player of the year on the gh.

Why wouldn't they?

in the 21 games played during QLD's 7 series wins they've picked specialist wingers just 6 times (Yowyeh in 2011, Folau in 2008 while he was still at the storm). The vast majority of their wing selections have been centres (Inglis, Tate, Bell, Mogg), with Boyd being the lone fullback.

NSW back when they were dominant didn't mind picking centres on the wing either with Lewis getting plenty of games out there.

Personally I think unless a specialist winger is a true stand out for their finishing and metre making then centres or fullbacks should always be chosen ahead of them.

I am really having a hard time fitting all the forwards I want in the team.

Who are they? I'll help you position them and tell you who should miss out.

Game will be won only if NSW forwards can dominate QLD and get more sets, Gallen hogging less ball, and Carney/Pearce getting plays organised on 4th & 5th.

He seemed to make a hell of a lot of errors when playing on the wing, more than he does now but that could just be him maturing as a player
