I'd f**k Morris off and have Ferguson in the centres. Uate and any other merkin on the wings.

Aku wont be playing SOO and nor should he be. He is just too shaky under the high ball and looks to either be carrying an injury or has had his confidence shattered. Qld will exploit the shit out of both

You wouldn't chuck Ferguson in left centre on his origin debut when he plays right centre for club

I like the idea someone mentioned of having J. Morris centre and Ferguson on the right hand side. Morris in centres on defence and Ferguson on the wing then switch them during attack.

I can also Ferguson having a debut like Justin Hodges did, just that type of player haha.

A risky option but could be one of the best centres in the game soon (if he remains consistent)

It's also a real f**king shame that Gidley is going to take up a bench spot. At least I guess before he had always had some type of club form but now the bloke has form no where. A real real waste of a bench spot that can really hurt our chance of the series (even though he is only one man).

Brett White has been consistently good for us since he came to the club. I doubt he would be on the shortlist but he would get the job done.

But according to many of the duds on here no Storm players go well once they leave the Storm as theyre only made to look good by the big 3

This. Love Aku, but Cronk and Thurston would pick him to pieces all day. Poor bloke had a shocker under the high ball yesterday.

the only spots up for grabs are

left wing
right wing
5/8
3 bench spots

so thats all the discussion should be about

Left wing will more than likely go to Merritt - he wont let us down, but he probably wont go too far towards winning the game for us. I'd prefer Gordon.
Right wing will more than likely go towards Uate - he MAY let us down, but will help us get out of trouble when we need it. I'd prefer Ferguson.
5/8 will more than likely go to Maloney - he will do very well, but if we lose a game, he will be dropped being Mitchell Pearce can't put a damned foot wrong

3 Bench spots are up for grabs - there are a large number of player who could fill them well. Gidley is not one of them. Fail.

If Aaron Woods can't nab a prop/bench spot then we are f**kin f**kwits.

Agreed, he couldn't possibly have done any more, and he's done it over the course of more than a year now. He should be a cert in my eyes.

I think Carney has done enough to retain the 6. His kicking game was outstanding on Friday night and he had good games against the Dogs and Knights as well.

I love Aku but he really shafted his own chances yesterday, so even though it's a shame he won't be there he can really only blame himself. I'd have Gordon on one wing for sure, and Taufua or Ferguson on the other now.

I really will be surprised if any of those three are chosen by Laurie. Maloney I can make a case for but believe Daley will stick with Carney. Uate absolutely no chance. Merritt a slim possibility if there are further injuries.

I would have thought only one bench spot was up for grabs.
