We have better options than Hoffman. If we are going for a right side specialist I'd take Glenn Stewart over him, not to mention the other back rowers who are not right side specialists that are much better than him.

We need an extra prop on the bench especially seeing as Merrin has been playing his best football as a lock

unfathomable that we'd leave, clearly our best and most talented half, out of the side despite being in good form

Maloney is a fine player in good form, but he's neither more talented, a better footballer or in form that trumps carney so much that it demands selection over him

Not picking Todd Carney will be a huge mistake

Carney does run sideways alot. And Maloney would add loads to the feel about the boys at the camp, being a naturally arrogant f*****

Gidley & Hoffman out. Hoffman has been USELESS every rep match he's ever had the fortune to play. Gidley ... tries hard but adds nothing.

Two more fowards, Grant & Stewart/Tolman and we have for the first time in the last few years a side which on paper & going on current form would probably be close to Queensland. Well as close to them as you can get when they have the best fullback (well two of them), hooker, half & five eighth by a long shot.

I prefer Maloney to Carney. Maloney is more of an origin type of character. Carney isn't strong enough.

John Sutton is one of the form players of the comp. He would be so much better than Gidley as the utility option. He can play in the backs if necessary but unlike Gidley he's also a real option to help as part of the forwards rotation.

And Merritt is more in form and a better winger than both of those wingers Supercoach Daley has named.

And not to mention the best halfback in NSW isn't playing.

Sutton should be there on the bench, that stupid so called versatile bench role is overrated nonsense, who cares if Gidley can play at 60 different positions,he's hopeless at all of them

Laurie Daley has no idea. We're going to get embarrassed this year. Picking proven losers is the best way to lose.

If we don't win origin 1 the series is over.

"Boohoo why didn't they pick Merrit, he's the greatest winger in history... boo f**king hoo it's not fair, Reynolds plays for LOL@Souffs so he should be an automatic selection. And the Burgess brothers should all be selected even though they're English because they're LOL@Souffs players. Woe is me"

In all seriousness though. Best team in a few years, but for the life of me I will never understand picking Gidley especially when you could go for another forward like Grant who went alright last year.

Overall it is a good team.

Not a fan of Gidley being selected, although at least he isn't captaining from the bench this year.

We can only hope that Ferguson doesn't walk away early from the Blues camp like he did with the Blues in Waiting camp earlier this year.

Feel sorry for Merritt but very happy that Souths will only lose Inglis and possibly Te'o due to Origin.

Out. Hoffman Gidley Hayne.
In. Grant Carney THEDUGAN

FB - THEDUGAN
WINGS - Morris Fergo
CENTRE - Morris Jennings
HALVES - BBQ BHP
Props - grant tamou
Backrow - Gallen Lewis bird

14 - Carney. Plays the backend of 2nd half, as a second f/e/fullback in attack. He and THEDUGAN on either side of the ruck following every play. Or wraps around for epic over laps. Extra kick and field goal option too.

Watmough
Merrin
Fifita

Watmough in after 20, plays th rest. Gallen to prop.

Then rotate the f**k out of Grant, Fifita, Merrin and Gallen

That leaked team is rubbish. It's too small to do anything to Queensland pack and with Hoffman and Gidley's past it's like playing 15 on 17. Also not a fan of Maloney over Carney, Carney is so much better at playmaking than him.

Grant for Gidley. Apart from that, I can see merit in pairing Pearce and Maloney in the halves. They have been playing well, and they already have that combination and confidence there which will influence the pairs' decision making regarding ball service to their outside backs. I think Farah is going to have a big series...
