That it, i think cause also in the nfl you don't know what play on both sides of the field will be next, both offense and defense have a yellow pages full of plays, where as in the nrl it is 5 hit ups kick, then when attacking, just either a bomb to the wings, or a decoy cut out, and that is about it for moves.

It gets boring

The things I liked in league-
Big hits -Gone
Shoulder chargers - Gone
Rivalry between players like Spud and Harrogan - Gone
Grubber kick not inside opps 10mtrs - Gone
Chip n Chase - Just about gone

And now Offloads are being phased out.

Maybe the NRL need a rule- 3 players in team under 90kgs or something like that.Reduce points scored off a bomb and give more points if score from outside the opps 30mtr line.
Nrl is based on who can get up and play the ball the fastest and wear the other team out.Thats who wins comps. Not brilliant attacking play.

NFL you don't just get different plays but you get big plays. Any 3rd down is a big play for both attack and defense. Any stop on drive inside Red Zone is a big play. NRL you don't really get big play. You might get a few big moments. I think NFL is closer o soccer in the terms a weaker team can use shock tactics to win .In league if your not good enough you just die a slow death and get beaten.

I will agree .... NRL has got a bit robotic .... too much emphasis on winning any way than playing good footy

but I have watched some NFL that is a bit monotonous too

I agree wholeheartedly with these

chopping down interchange to about 4 or 5 per game would help .... tire the big buggers out

NRL feels like teams are trying not too lose games rather than going out too win them.

NFL you do get some bore fests too-But its less common

I have said for a while, and many will disagree, that in pre season they should trial perhaps a 5th tackle option where you can thrown the ball forward. I know many will think it may be silly, but I would like to see what teams come up with if this play was introduced.

Pre season experiment only obvioysly

Another option is a power play option, but that won't necessarily open up more plays, hence why throwing the ball forward option I think may be better

yeah its a kinda f**ked idea tbh ... .... if you wanna see merkins throw it forward, just watch NFL - or union

so only allowed one forward throw or many? ... can any player do it? ... can you do it after you get past the play the ball or is it just a gridiron copy?

NRL is fine-just bring back shoulder charges. Take away your attempt at goal for a try off a kick - limit a team to 6 bombs a game. AND AN XTRA POINT FOR A TRY OUTSIDE OPS 30MTRS. That would liven it u a little.
You could even introduce something like a 8 tackle set you can use twice in a game. And inside your own half.Bring some tactics into it.
Make it a game where they have to think a bit rather than just go thru the motions and wait for a mistake.

Back than it was easier too stop momentum.Maybe if your ahead you kickoff but if your behind you get the kick?

then you are penalising teams for playing well

Its just hard when a team is say 6-0....Than they score to make it 12 and they have a roll on.The game can get blown apart in 5-6 mins. And you haven't had a chance to catch breathe making it easier for it too get away from you.

As a Parramatta fan, it makes sense that you would want that rule.

As a Dragons fan, you would have experienced what hindy was describing first-hand - what, with the 30-nil scoreline and all...

Also - you guys hired (and kept for THREE seasons) Steve Price, so you're the last people who should be laughing at anyone tbh.
