Like Messi but not a midget. I reckon he would’ve played at close to 90kg. Would’ve been the biggest player who could ever do shit like this:

Absolutely.

Ronaldo Nazario had it all - speed, dribbling, power, agility, technique, composure...

He was a joy to watch play.

Oh that Ronaldo. I thought injuries killed him

Sadly, they did.

He suffered several knee injuries, stacked on weight, and never quite recovered.

He was once quoted as telling his coach - who told him to lose weight - that his job is to score goals; he asked his coach, "Do you want me to run more, or score goals?"

Worth noting he was the top goal scorer at the time.

I highly doubt it, imo players should be allowed to clear the field of shit that neanderthal fans throw on the pitch during a game (shit they shouldn't be allowed to bring to a game in the first place).

I applaud the goalie and think the league is weak for not strongly supporting his action and coming down harder on the flare f**kwits all season/seasons long.

So throwing a flare (or whatever dangerous) back into the crowd, potentially hurting an innocent patron is perfectly fine?

Lesson learned I'd say for "innocent" patron who chooses to sit (stand) with the "active" neathderthal flare f**kwits, and cheer on their illegal antics week to week.

The league has to protect its players from this rubbish, and come down hard on these "active" clowns. As I've said earlier in the thread, charging any less than the 150 who have come onto the ground is pissweak, and Victory should not be allowed any behind goal/active viewing at all any more.

And that any future instance of a flare brought into the ground by fans of another club should be penalised in the same way - until they've stamped this shit out for the sake of the future of code, and so its continuation doesn't adversely impact family participation rates in the sport. Or they can be happy with their 1970s-1980s NSL violence (or "passion" lol) and the sport can hold a minor niche status for ever - which would be a crying shame.
