Travis Head 145* off 156 in London, is that considered “bazzball” ?
India aren’t hooping the ball like Broad and Anderson will be, but I think we are in for a cracking Ashes series, can’t believe people have written us off already, we have a great team at the moment.
Good start to the championship final. Need 500+ in first innings. Wicket good for batting. Our bowlers need to take 20 wickets. A draw will get us the prize.

If we win, I hope we do, then that will create and give a lot of confidence to our squad for the Ashes series.

He certainly scores quickly so if he can survive long enough against Anderson & Broad along with some help at the other end they should score reasonable totals.

Pujarra being the anchor with Rohit & Kohli scoring big & quickly are the big wickets our bowlers need to take early.

Well we did it with ease. Sorry, a draw would have meant we share the trophy and prizemoney not we would win it so thank goodness we won it fair and square. It made my weekend with the Dragons winning plus the win by the Canadian, Nick Taylor, in the Canadian Open golf was great - First Canadian in 69 years to have won it.

Looks like they’ve prepared a one day batting paradise wicket. It’ll be interesting to see what 5 days of ODI looks like, could be 2000 runs.
Good toss to win for poms.

Looks like being a painful game relying on declarations to make it look like a result can be achieved. Whatever happened to the idea of "a contest between bat and ball"?

This Test series will become a glorified 20/20 competition overall. I suppose it will be good for the spectators at the grounds and those able to stay awake all through the night to watch on the telly. We will need to either surpass their score or not too much less than their 393 runs to make a real game of it.

On this deck, that’s a below par first inns score IMO. It’s a road, they took risks because they wanted to be ultra aggressive then their arrogance allowed them to declare within three sessions.
They could have kept our bowlers in the field for two days and piled on enough runs to make it unlosable.
Hopefully we now bat for a couple of days and only have to bat once.

400 is a good score on any pitch mate.

Stokes will set better fields than Cummins and their quick bowlers will have an advantage in their own conditions.

I know it is hard for you to do, but try to look at things objectively and not getting too far ahead of yourself.

@Crush how did the so called below par first innings score work out? 😂😂😂

Like I said mate, you're just putting the cart way before the horse.

A great win in the first Test. It looked like we would not win but Cummins and Lyon took it to the Poms and won it for us fairly convincingly in the end. Congratulations to the Aussie boys and a special mention of praise for the man of the match Usman Khawaga - they never gave up when the chips were down. Great fighting spirit.
Looking forward to the second test at Lords - the home of cricket.

Go you Aussies!!
