I have not looked into the pardon, but it did come as a surprise.

I will wait for legal analysis, however I do know this; once pardoned it cannot be re-tried by any new evidence or reversed by a new president.

I bet you $1 that there were mutterings around Capital Hill they they planned to put Hunter away for a long time, just because.

Senate lady reckons they with hunt Hunter anyways.

They're pullin' their puud.

The current SCOTUS would and will rule on the primacy of the POTUS to basically do whatever the f**k he likes. It's how they roll.

Bowen and Albo going to try and save the world and at the same time stuffing up electricity generation and cost for their own people, surprised factor -zero. Hopeless and terrible govt in so many areas.

For that post you get a rare reply from me.

Cos this is what happens when you just recycle stuff you see on twitter and post it, thinking it’s clever.

So how come you omitted the UK, you know King Charles etc ? Did you know that it was the conservative led government who started the phasing out of coal in that country? Actually they have bipartisan support on climate change. The conservatives and all others are n the same page. Weird huh ?

September 2024

The UK’s last coal-fired power plant, Ratcliffe-on-Soar in Nottinghamshire, will close this month, ending a 142-year era of burning coal to generate electricity.

Let’s see if that’s true. Oh look.

This is the UK’s energy generation LIVE

They can’t do solar with so much shitty weather (it’s also 1am at the time of screenshot), but they still manage huge green generation.

Also, your EU stats seem to be selective. Meaning that they must be cherry picking some countries.

France are closing it’s last two coal plants Emile-Huchet and Cordemais at end of 2024

In 2024, Germany shut diwn seven coal plants.

Here are some other coal phase-out plans in Europe:
  • Hungary: Phase out coal by 2025
  • Denmark: Last coal plant will close in 2028
  • Greece: PPC, the country's only coal operator, will phase out coal by 2025
  • North Macedonia: Phase out coal by 2027
  • Spain: Phase out coal by 2030
  • Montenegro: Phase out coal by 2035
  • Romania: Phase out coal by 2032
  • Bulgaria: Phase out coal by 2038-40
  • Croatia: Phase out coal by 2033 at the latest

Gronk, the ultimate inner city elite warrior.
Albo and co are hopeless, you need to examine their tenure to see they are out of touch , that’s all folks.

then why don't you care to elaborate ? you know, provide a source, or try to be convincing in what aspect to which you refer, not that out dated and inaccurate and unsourced image that you provided

saying that they are hopeless only shows what direction you lean toward and doesn't really generate any debate or discussion

What a stooge

Your little mates did f**k all for near a decade on power and now come to the table with a plan that won't do shit for decades.

Mean while your best mate Spud is busy telling the world he's gonna shut down offshore wind if elected

a complete reversal of one of the few things they did do whilst in power, and only a few short years ago

Dutton is literally opposing LNP policy from a coupla years ago. The message that sends to capital is don't invest in Australian energy infrastructure because it's fraught with sovereign risk.

This is deliberate, he does not want to see this government achieve anything that they might hang their hat on come the next election, and he doesn't give a f**k if that hurts the country, or everyday Aussies.

Why does Dutton hate Australians so much mate?

Got a boomer tier facebook meme for that shit?

a 1am snapshot graph of generation by source isn't very meaningful .... of course it can be a shitload of the generation when demand is near its lowest

the day/week/year graphs are probably more meaningful - they at least tell you how things go when it actually matters ..... and yeah they are doing well with wind ... but its 32% of their generation in the past year - not the misleading 70 whatever % in the middle of the night when demand is low

the year graph - wind 32%; gas 27%; nuclear 15% ...... it paints a different picture to a favourable snapshot in time

do we need some nuclear? ..... is potato head right?

Who really cares where our electricity comes from as long as the prices starts to come down and there is enough to keep the lights on....

But we all know what it's really all about....

Nuclear is about 15 to 20 years in planning, how many changes of govt would be in play over that period of time

it would need to be bipartisan and I just can't see that happening, its not as though we are short of uranium

1am was the time that I posted. I had no control of that. Latest available from the same link is 3:25am.

In the mean time do you want to look at South Australia?

No need to be an angry little ant .... im not arguing against renewables. I think they have a place. Just gotta keep it in perspective. Your example was a bit misleading. You could have shown the weekly or year figures on the same page.

Good on SA .... though they also wouldnt have the power needs of other parts of Australia.

I bought a battery lawn mower. Im f**kin saving the world ffs.
