Lol...

The Fair Work Commission on Friday awarded an extra 1 per cent pay rise to rail workers for 2022 and 2023 after a year of protracted negotiations and industrial action across Sydney’s public transport network.

Indeed. It's the deceipt with this one - promising it hadn't/wouldn't be done, but having forged ahead anyway - that will come back to bite NSW LNP if this story gets any air.

staggering

you'd think they would have learned from privatising the power

They did.

It's why they keep doing it.

Your mistake is in thinking that the reasoning in privatisation was to benefit the public and or the state.

So, can any of you Labor "lovers" justify the Fed's decision to spend $368 BILLION on 8 Subs and the infrastructure to maintain them.,
I'd also like to hear your thoughts on the comments of the greatest Prime Minister ever, Paul Keating and his views today on this decision. He absolutely smashed them. And he is the most Labor of them all.

$368 Billion!!! FFS.

That could be spent on -

- 200 new schools @ $500 million each = $100 Billion.
- 200 new hospitals @ $500 million each = $100 Billion
- Sydney - Melbourne High Speed Rail = $100 - $150 Billion

That still leaves another $100 - $150 Billion to be spent.
I understand that we need a defence budget, but this is just seriously pissing away taxpayers money.

We can afford it. The subs cost 368 billion out to 2055. Dont listen to pearl clutching wowsers. We’re fine. The subs add 0.5% of GDP defence budget

Quick quiz: how much did we spend on emergency stuff during covid and we’re fine ?

$311 billion

I know what Paul K said today, but I reckon it’s goes beyond the subs, it’s the cost of buying longevity protection. Adding 0.5% to the defence budget means that our AUKUS alliance remains strong.
