Selling tickets to already cancelled flights ? It's either incompetence or criminal. Take your pick.
Depends on the intention we will never know.

Considering it takes you 2 hours to get of hold of pricks with there customer service. I suggest there incompetent lacking staff in key areas of simple admin down the bottom of the chain while the upper management take all the money and keep giving themselves bonuses.

well that's certainly not my experience and I deal with China on a daily basis, I gave up on India some time ago

China and India are chalk and cheese, India are all about the money and a certain amount of dishonesty, China has much more integrity and care about their product and I find their pricing much better not to mention their quality

China is probably slightly better to deal with. But there quality can be very poor.

Probably a bigger transport-related scandal than anything to do with Jo Haylen, to be honest...

Agreed. Jo Haylen is as dodgy as sin. There's gotta be an investigation...

When Albo, who is pushing it more than anyone, doesn’t understand the Uluru Statement or what it contains, and doesn’t think he needs to know, that’s enough to tell me it hasn’t been thought through nearly enough to be considered as a reason to change our constitution.

come back when you have a thorough detailed plan.

Let’s start with identifying why 60%+ of the funds and grants given to organisations/community groups etc to help aboriginal communities with health care, mental health, sexual health, alcohol and drug programs etc NEVER make it to the people that need it. That will make a difference more than any constitutional change

But a referrendum is about voting to change words in the Constitution - it's not long enough to include a detailed plan in there. I think the vote just adds 92 words, because that's about all there is for any of the other stuff that's already in there. The detail comes later and is decided by (and can also later be changed by) parliament, just as is should be.

60% of money given might not get to "the people" because when money is given to organisations (including the big charities and churches) a lot of it is swallowed up in their business model and costs before what's left gets to where it should - sadly that's not just an issue with funds/grants re aboriginal initiatives, it's been a long term issue with all funding.

That’s a bit silly. Of course he understands what it means. The result is the referendum.

Should we recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Constitution, with a Voice to Parliament?

The detailed plan thing is very confusing. The whole premise of the Statement of the Heart is to enshrine change in the constitution for the better.

The “detail” is a very strange topic. The detail of what ? Who is in government ? What year is it ? How can Albo give you detail of what is going to happen in 2034 ? It’s the government of the day that’s in charge. All that has changed is that indigenous people can have input in things that concern them.

The referendum will ask Australians if they agree that First Nations people should have a seat at the table when decisions are being made about their lives. The exact shape will be determined by the Parliament following a successful referendum. This allows for the details about the shape to be decided through normal parliamentary procedures, and changed by Parliaments over time, as required according to the conditions of the day. The details will be developed in consultation with Indigenous communities, and some of these design principles have been shared already.

The only difference here is that it will be enshrined in the constitution, so there can be no shenanigans by future governments.

Since 1967 federal governments have required a mechanism like a Voice to support its work in the Indigenous policy space. The government needs to know who to talk to on issues that affect First Nations people. Each of the five previous mechanisms which have been set up by parliamentary processes for this purpose have been abolished by successive governments cancelling programs, policies and investment with the stroke of a pen. This chopping and changing according to election cycles has contributed to the ongoing disadvantage experienced by many First Nations people. If the Voice was enshrined in the Constitution, it could not be abolished without significant public scrutiny (in another referendum), giving the government of the day a strong incentive to work with First Nations people and ensure their advice and input is heard
