I'm waiting to see when the Democrats will do the switch - before nominating their candidate, after nominated Biden but before the election (e.g. on health grounds), or during Biden's second term once Trump loses another election... hard to tell what the best tactical move would be.

They pissed Bobby Kennedy off (who’d probably be offed midterm with the Kennedy curse), Hilary is poison, Kamala is a sure fire way to get record Republican turnout, Phillips is probably next in line but he had to have a hell of a push to be any chance this time round, they have no one else. Anyway they only have week to really sort the shit out anyway, plus Biden is already in line because Florida was a walkover. He’ll be the candidate barring inability to stand.
What would be interesting is if Trump is barred from nomination, which seems incredibly unlikely, will Republics go with the woman (possibly lowering Republican turnout) or the ultraconservative (possibly increasing Democrat turnout)?

I cannot believe a country the size of the US of A can continually offer up such a poor choice of candidates. I mean - REALLY POOR.

Even if he's not barred - or if any of his 90-odd criminal charges aren't heard and upheld before then - it would be hilarious if the Republicans in states other than Iowa grow a bit wary, and he loses some of those primaries, and slides down the contenders ladder. Merkin would go ballistic with rage... against his own "people".

He’ll probably slide in the Democrat states but the party won’t really care because like when he was elected, if he runs away with middle states, he’ll win again

I think they’re scared of being the “leader of the free world” at the moment. We’re very much Cuban Missile Crisis times and no one wants to be the guy who makes the wrong call

In all honesty I'm going to be keeping an extra eye on my investments during 2024 going forward. It could end up being a highly toxic environment come U.S. election time. I feel it in my waters.

I was over there in LA actually in 2022 the day when the BS abortion law in Texas went down.

Protests and marching outside the hotel I was at when for about 3-4 hours. And you really couldn't blame them. What a f... up decision it really was and how anyone could even think of passing that through.
