You realise Colorado is being appealed and so he has actually been re-instated until the appeal is heard.
Everything i have read says there isnt a snowballs chance it wont get overturned.
The reason given is insurrection, yet no one has ever been charged with insurection. They even claimed its not the legal definition of insurection, but instead the dictionary definition - lol, Its the vibe.
Its funny how they all say trump will destroy democracy, yet the same people are falling over themselves to prosecute a political opponent, hence they are the ones f**king with a democratic process.
Yeah, the judgement never actually had him off the ballot, they ruled he's off the ballot, then granted a stay on that until the day before nominations are finalised, pending either an accepted or denied appeal to the supreme court.
If the court agrees to hear the appeal, until they make an adverse finding he's on the ballot, if the court rejects a hearing, or no appeal is made he's off.
As for the necessity to be charged with the crime of "insurrection" that's up for debate, the 14th amendment excludes on the basis of participation or aiding insurrection, and says nothing regards how that is qualified.
So that'll be up to the court to determine, not a bunch of folk who would equally claim no one was ever charged with collusion.
