Stella was a pretty decent character actress, appearing in quite a few of my favourite movies, The Nutty Professor (Jerry Lewis version), and Cleopatra Jones and the Casino of Gold.

I bought tickets for Mrs. Feej and my DIL for their respective birthdays, and they said it was great. I didn't go, because I'm one of those 'too cool for school' musos, but it sounded like I might have enjoyed it.

Went last night with the 3 kids and misso. He does the whole show pretty much himself with loops. f**ken impressive, even if you’re not a massive fan of that approach, or the songs.

Nice to see someone at the top of their game and not a retirement tour. He also doesn’t seem like a knob…which helps.

Gary Rossington, the last remaining original member of Lynyrd Skynyrd, has died at age 76.

A couple of other significant losses in the past few days, jazz saxophonist Wayne Shorter, best known for his work with Miles Davis and later Weather Report, and David Lindley, multi instrumentalist who played a lot with Jackson Browne, and Ry Cooder.

Worked with him for a few months at Runcorn Tavern Quigs, was the nicest most genuine bloke you could meet. Plus he had that air about him that some people possess, natural style master.

A good life lead.

Cools, ...... Satts and Sir Thomas (Bishop) actually attended The Park for a Sportsmans Night back in the 90's. I had a good lengthy time chatting with both of them. At the time I was working at the Pub and they were both sharing a room there. Satts was as often stated a perfect gentleman except when I told him to piss off. At the time I was engaged in an intelligent conversation with Sir Thomas and he was autographing my 67 and 73 jersey's. Satts said something like "what are you writing on that shit for." (joking) that is when I told the great man to piss off. He jokingly held out the car keys and told Tommy to look after these while he sorted me out. He was lucky he backed down or I would of flogged him.

The first time I actually met Satts was when I was a young bloke playing for Sylvania Heights. Must of been 15/16. Our coach was a friend or workmate of John and it was around the time that Souths actually had to direct Satts to have a few weeks off from playing as he was playing with busted ribs.

Anyhow he rocks up to our training night and we were all in awe the great John Sattler had come to watch our training. Next minute he is asking us boys to pack down a scrum and run the ball. Here he was, clutching at his ribs as he is running along with us. Our coach is yelling at Satts just to stay in one spot on the field and we could come back to him. Satts would have none of it. He said something about getting field positions right and it was only his ribs. He'd be right.

Uncle Doug Mulray at 71 started on JJ & was on MMM for many years. Such a funny man….and in his words had a great head for radio

Back when DJ'S were actual personalities.
By memory I think he did the real road trip of stations before arriving at 2JJ, then hitting it with 2MMM.

Who can forget this classic song he released.
