QLD brought the blueprint on how to beat the Panthers - bring the baseball bats, as the Panthers boys don’t like it up em’.
Other than To’o, not one of the Panthers boys (or Burton) fancied a run all game, particularly after the scrap. They really didn’t want to get tackled, hence the stupid passes and silly offloads.
QLD played the oldest trick in the book, ‘they’re better than us, so just bash em’. Good on em. Tino should have been snotted long before the scrap, most certainly during it, and sure as shit afterwards, but none of the NSW boys were up for it.

Agree. Yeo is a fantastic player but he was so hesitant to run in to that fight when burton had 3 on 1.. that was dog from tino. How he didn’t go to the bin

They gave Cleary and Luai no room to attack and if you want to know one big part of beating Penrith is to be very aggressive to those two whenever they get the ball. Give them no time and cut their options down with aggressive defence.
100% showed how to beat Penrith in game 1 & 3.
Club level everyone stands of Cleary and to scared to rush him. Last years finals series he couldn’t use his shoulder and never got tackled.

Not only that Tino Spaghetti should of spent 10 minutes in the bin for the blatant swinging arm to the head to Burton in the 1st Half.

Then in the second half he gets Burton in the head lock as third man in.

Like WTF Klein??

I disagree with Talakai comments that he had a stinker.

For me the loose carry was his only fault tonight.

The try Ponga scores he bounces off Luai and then Talakai is wrong footed because Ponga is heading away from the point Talakai originally thought he was going to be the second defender in.

If you want to know who had stinkers it was Cleary and Luai.

They badly directed NSW around the park and Cleary’s kicking game was woeful.
Wonder how Tinos antics would go in club land - he would have been binned a dozen times.
The carry on in the regular season on protecting the player, then this dumb media driven game…. where anything goes? One of the flog commentators made what I thought was the one of the great statements;
“This has to be the greatest in the the history of….pause…sport”
I dead set think he was going to say the world 🌎….
Fittler please now go and coach the bulldogs - just for the entertainment value.

Named but surely he is tired? He should play.
The two things that worries me about the Cowboys game is that it is an away game for us and we have been for the most part a different team playing away from home.

The other is that the Cowgirls are resting a few players and our team might not be switched on for the game.

Hope I am wrong because on paper if we turn up with right attitude we should win. But as we saw last night the game is not played on paper.

Tino…

Unfortunately up here in QLD, if we blame the ref, it’s sour grapes, so I’ll be keeping my mouth shut and acknowledging that they outplayed us.

I can’t help but just think that if we do it, we get binned, whereas the ‘QUEENSLANDER’ BS is adopted by even the refs.

8th wonder of the world how Tino didn’t get binned for each incident he was involved in.

Let's face it: 42 years in and NSW still just don't get it.

Every year it's the same. "We've got a better team".
Man for man, on paper, maybe.
But I don't see anyone in amongst the Blues squad who, when the going gets tough, wants to roll their sleeves up and rip in. Just a bunch of very skilled guys who love to be front-runners.

Qld have built their teams around those type of players since day dot.
And that is why NSW will never enjoy anything like the run of success Qld had.

It means more north than it does down south.
Agree that the nuts up north put it all on the line - no fear just throw your self on the bed of nails.
NSW - great team but lack flog antics.

It was just a good old style smash up and the blues didn’t want to play that game.

Tino has been one of my fav non shark players for a bit..last night he was a merkin.
Love it
NSW had nice guy Jake to bring the non-aggression. QLD (especially Tino) bashed NSW, were in the ruck all night because they knew Klein would do nothing. It was the exact game plan from game 1 and NSW lacked the smarts to adapt.

Freddy's game plan was let the Penrith boys play club footy in a rep game. Didn't work.
