That's not true.
The place will be packed, depending upon weather and opposition. It's history and fans will flock there otherwise.
However, it's just plain dumb to think they'll allocate an Eels game there. Only a Phantom poster would suggest that.
BTW, I'd love to see an Eels game there. I spent 4 seasons going there to watch the Eels at their relocated home ground.. Hardly missed a game. Good memories!!!
Amazing that in those days, hardly anyone complained about it. These days, whingers won't go half the distance to a better stadium.

Can you imagine if we actually got approval for turning Pirtek into a covered 40k seat stadium but it meant a season or 2 where it was not available... what reaction would the Pirtek or die supporters have?

Unfortunately in our current situation, playing away from Pirtek for 2 seasons would probably mean 2 wooden spoons in a row.

If we go by the mentality of 'we can only win at Pirtek' we are settling for mediocrity.

Would you agree that we should ditch Pirtek to get away from the mindset?

They would die.

On the positive side, at least someone else would get their halfway line grandstand seat

Oops.
What I meant to say was I don't want to go to Belmore.

WhooHoo, getting rid of the steal bars at the front of the grandstands. Nice.

Yes. Good move.
Also, all seats are to be replaced by what I've heard, flip up seats. Colour undecided but probably red and black. ;-)
Change rooms to be upgraded. Pitch re-laid.
Corporate areas to Eastern stand not being done now, nor is the Eastern Grandstand extra concourse level.
Both Parra and Wanderers need to keep filling the stadium to push for further upgrades.
The current state govt policy of pouring funds into Sydney's two major stadiums and having all teams play out of them is just dumb. We are not Melbourne, and it just won't work here.
