No. Of the utmost importance is that the country is being run by an illegitimate government that is only in power because it is supporting, backing & paying for the leagal expenses of a suspected criminal. If there is no problem with Thomson, then people with morals & decent ethical values should encourage their leaders to face the people at the voting booths & legitimise themselves. If theiving is tolerated by the prime minister, then how are the brain dead 49% of Australians that will vote for labor them no matter what, going to approach life in Australia? The incredibly low moral & ethical standards will allow for them to easily adopt thieving into their daily lives.
AS for any organisation that harbor & protects paedophiles & sexual abusers, such as churches police & trade unions etc, they should be fully investigated & stood down from any public positions until cleared.

I think Thomson should resign & the Government face the people. Number 1 priority right now for Australia.
I also think victims should stop accepting damages payments & bring their accusations into a curt of law in the case of the Catholic church issue.
I also think the police Unions should come clean on the corruption cover ups over the years too, particularly whilst labor governments have been in power in even more particular, NSW during labor governments.

All 3 are very important issues in Australia & right wing & educated people know this. They wouldnt tolerate their party accepting a suspected peadophile or a thief or criminal of any kind for the sake of staying in power.
But such is the massive divide in ethics & morals between left wing & right wing people in Australia.

Ear bitten off in priest v priest fight

AN 80-year-old retired priest allegedly bit an ear off another elderly clergyman during a violent brawl over a parking bay in their block of units. The punch-up broke out on Friday afternoon in a Dianella complex, which houses three retired Catholic priests.

Father Thomas Henry Byrne appeared in court yesterday charged with grievous bodily harm over the incident involving his neighbour, 81-year-old Father Thomas Joseph Cameron Smith.

According to police, after the brawl Father Byrne told Father Smith to pick up an item up on the ground.

It was not until Father Smith returned to his unit that he realised the item he had picked up and put in his pocket was his right ear.
