He has the vision. Did so from day one like Luai did. But the longer he spends in first grade. The safer our coach has played it.

He has a lot more up his sleeves then just bombing it. He can grubber and do crossfield kicks. But for whatever reason thag shits frowned upon in our team.

Hell people said Moylan had no kicking game as he rarely kicked for us. At Sharks he has shown a very good short kicking game.

The longer any half spends under Hook. The more basic they will seem. The list goes back to his Broncos days.

Try again. He was the one who started this. Not only am I getting targeted, so is Alice. Now other people are turning on both Alice, and myself. I am prepared to let this drop, I hope others will too.

There's no such thing as a top 4 Warriors or wooden spoon Warriors side. Its a f**king lucky dip everytime they take the field.

Cleary did the exact same shit vs Warriors 12 months ago. Try assist off a grubber. Linebreak assist resulting in a Tyrone May try from a Cleary offload and a hat trick himself.

If Luai had much better vision why has Cleary at a younger age been the only mainstay in Hooks 3 years here? He has earned praise from some of the games most knowledgeable. He is the guy Gus would build a team around. He is the guy Fittler picked for NSW after only 2 games back from injury. He has had many great coaches and former halves singing his praises sbout the very thing you claim he lacks.

After we beat Souffs in 2016. He was getting the same praise Luai is now

I was wondering the same thing. Only a few weeks ago I was thinking that this place was very collegial - differing views were tolerated with pleasant debate and no personal attacks.

Now it seems to have gone off the rails.

The warriors were poor for most of last season and have been good for most of this season.

Who has talked up his vision?

This is getting ridiculous, those same greats talked up Mitchel Pearce and Mitchell Moses I suppose they should both be the highest paid players in the game as well?? we are just doing circles now.

There’s more to being a half than vision. Cleary has been the mainstay because he was ready for it before Luai. Nathan has different strengths, his vision for a half isn’t particularly good.

If you can't see the opportunities you wont be able to take advantage of them, Cleary will never have Maloneys vision, all the video sessions in the world wont change that. He plays more eyes up footy than Mitchel Pearce does but I still have questions marks over his vision.

Oh I do too. Either way I think Nathan is going to be a very good player, I just am not seeing the natural footy instincts in him.

Yeah i know it's taken me so long to read through most of this dribble that I've forgotten what the thread was about . If you don't like a comment that's directed at you it's better to just ignore the post than to respond otherwise the thread turns into this and now i have just added to it

I think we could win with Cleary and Luai/May. Cleary has played with both through the grades.

No way we could win with Maloney and Peachey. Which is the combo Jimmy wanted when Cleary was injured.

Jimmy + Luai or May could win it also IMO. Just not a combination with Peachey

My main point being that Cleary isn't ready to lead the team to a premiership yet. Maloney is and has done it before.

Cleary will get another off season with Maloney + more finals experience in 2018. Next year will be his chance to steer the side. Up to him how he takes it from there.

Maloney/Peachey wouldn't work with our current 1/9 options. Unless luai played 1. Opposition game plan would be too obvious otherwise. Crowd Maloney. Sharks did that really well in our first match up of the year.
