Maybe it isn’t a good look for the ‘game’ but I guarantee there will be thousands of video/photographs taken this evening in bedrooms and other parts of dwellings, vehicles, outdoors of persons engaged in sexual activities all across our nation. They will involve not just footy players but Doctors, Lawyers, Accountants, Check Out Chicks and just about every other normal person in society. It is a normal part of every day life in our society today and I don’t see how you can apply sanctions for such activity unless it involves some form of criminal offence ie video taken without consent or something worse.

I am not even moderately offended or outraged by the videos. But considering the NRL’s stance on treating women respectfully, I think the guys in the videos are going to be missing a fair bit of footy this year.

The NRL can’t cross into the territory of judging people’s sex lives.

And I say *possibly* allowing it to leak because if a sexual partner leaked it as a form of revenge then they shouldn’t be punished at all.

You can’t disrespect someone if the act is consensual. In fact the NRL would be disrespecting the woman by making a moral judgement on her behalf. It’s denying that woman her agency, treating her like a child.

The whole treatment of women is an interesting concept.

As I have indicated on these forums I do a little Uber driving from time to time for a bit of pocket money.

I am not a prude by any stretch but the language, talk, attitudes of the younger ladies of todays generation can be quite confronting given I came from a different generation.

IMO 99% of the sexual activities, including recordings of activity would be consensual and part of fun attached to it. All part and parcel of todays normal sexual activities.

Brad Walter has just tweeted that they won’t suspend players for the leaking if historical sex tapes because it could encourage more to be leaked.

The timing isn't to do with him. The best thing to come from this is hopefully now players learn trust no one with stuff like this

Naive maybe, but all the young ones are doing and maybe those from the older generation are too. We are only talking about it because the male in question is an NRL player and I understand that but again there will be thousands upon thousands of similar videos made this evening, tomorrow and the next day. Unless there is a crime involved, what happens in the bedroom should stay in the bedroom.
