NRL players earn good money, even those on lesser contracts are paid well in excess of the average wage. They have the financial resources to fund a legal defence and in most instances have no choice but to defend matters given what is at stake. A lot can happen between the time charges are laid and the time a matter is listed for hearing, in this case a Local Court will hear the matter if it is defended. I haven't seen the video's, nor do I have any interest in seeing them and I only know what has been written & said in the media. I'll form my own view about what should happen to Tyrone May after the matter is determined by the Court in the mean time it is Phil Gould's job to decide what should happen to him in the meantime, or any other player who may become embroiled in this situation.

Iirc magpie was talking about how the women were treated on the video. At least that was my criticism of him.

The person responsible for putting the video's in the public domain need's to very careful as potentially they may be the subject of the greatest scrutiny of all, particularly, if they are as has been suggested a current player, perhaps a former Panthers?

This situation clearly has a lot of twists and turns left and unfortunately it is doing nothing for our preparation for the start of the season.
