It said the other day clubs whose players are stood down can apply for dispensation.

1st of May equates with round 8. There is some chance it could be over there and then, or shortly after. It would then depend whether the NRL considers that sufficient penalty. Wighton got 10 weeks for a 5 year offence that ended up a suspended sentence. Bolton 5 weeks for a 2 year offence. Those two might be in the ballpark for what could be expected here.

There is no chance it will be over on the 1st of May. He’s contesting the charges, so best case scenario, on the 1st of May a trial date might be set, but even that is unlikely.

If he goes guilty, the magistrate will need time to consider the punishment, take submissions on behalf of Tyrone etc. that will take months.

If he is done and dusted within 18months, that will be very quick.

I guess any parent that is misguided in thinking this isn’t a wider issue than just the Penrith Panthers.

Sex tapes, nude selfies, younger generation is heavily exposed to this stuff.

Whether it's a wider issue or not is irrelevant. We are currently the 'poster boy' for that issue.

BTW I personally haven't seen that many videos of young men/my mates involved in sex tapes with choking, stepping on girls heads, pushing girls, degrading girls etc etc. No doubt you can find it but it's nowhere near as openly available nor common as you're making it out to be.

Technology and the apps available make it so easy to do. Give the same technology to any kids of any generation and it will be used for sex tapes by some.

I live on the edge of the district and have a couple of friends who are well placed to have a clear eyed perception of the place....their take is the same as my impression since 1967...the players live in a fishbowl out there ..too much social interaction where too many of them get enmeshed in all kinds of ridiculous drama ....stuff happens at every club for sure and some are just better at covering it up but one thing for sure...Panthers have the most ex players say that they just needed to get away from the place to clear their head...not the team or the football club...just the fishbowl they were crammed into. Close to 40 years ago an official i became good friends with said as much in a personal apology re the behaviour towards my girlfriend by a "could have been anything" wasted talent.

The moment it was known to have a sex tape out people would of searched for it. That is how it got to this bad
