"Gould, NSW’s most successful State of Origin coach, was scathing of what he described as a toxic culture at the Blues while Daley was in charge, to the point where he threatened not to allow his Penrith players to be involved in rugby league’s showpiece event.

"I don't want anyone down in that culture at all,” Gould said in 2017 after NSW players were involved in a series of alcohol-fuelled incidents.

“I don't want any of our current players in that environment ...

"It all starts with leadership. Who's going to take control over what the personality of this team [is]? I think it's a dog's breakfast, and it has been for some time.”

I think these comments need to be placed in their intended context too. This was said after many years of NSW blues underachieving within origin. And after each year Fergo, Dugan, and many others had been involved with drunkan activities often involving abuse to women.


Yes Penrith has an issue at the moment, many other clubs have similar issues at the moment including your own club.

Your use of this article sounds a little to me like a person standing on what he thinks is a safe bit of ground screaming everyone's doing it, but me and mine aren't.

Like with drugs it is societial issue.

Did May Phillips and Coleman do the wrong thing. You betta. Perhaps the article where Yeo speaks is a better indication of Penrith's culture.

BTW I personally haven't seen that many videos of young men/my mates involved in sex tapes with choking, stepping on girls heads, pushing girls, degrading girls etc etc. No doubt you can find it but it's nowhere near as openly available nor common as you're making it out to be.

It’s not irrelevant at all. The fans & wider public need some understanding on the issue, rugby league doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

The poster boy is Dylan Napa tho :wink:

There appears to be some type of an agenda with these 'tapes' comming to light. Because it's so concentrated to one club and one club only at the minute.

By the way I am not suggesting that these tapes are a good thing either.

Henry you obviously have seen the tape or know about the tape I gather.

people are saying it's the partner of a high profile player you would never expect. a lot of other people are saying it's fake tho which I hope cos it would be absolutely devastating

I saw one this arvo. Not a player though. A players wife supposedly.

Praying it's not. The other ones are nothing compared to if this one's legit. The betrayal involved by someone(s) along the way..this one could seriously kill our season by tearing the team apart.

The asshole leaking them needs to be caught now. His (or her) motives are quiet clear. They want to hurt the club. Not just a specific player.

I saw the same one too and I'm praying big times that it is fake because I agree that this one could really hurt our season going forward.

I haven’t seen it, I haven’t seen any of them. Just got a good word on who it might be.
