I’ve tried this argument before. Deaf ears and whatnot.
Well there is always the argument that regardless the coach, kid would have made it anyway.

Does a coach make the player, or the player the coach.....no right answer.

I think many came good, Kikua certainly playing better than ever.

Anyways the coach roundabout is yet to stop spinning......

Facts like when he was on 100% Footy 3 weeks ago saying Griffin was going nowhere and lambasted numerous media outlets who said he was going to be sacked?

Well Gus said he wanted to wait because he had no other options for coach. It's the best we've got right now. Better than all the damn rumors.

I got to the part where Gus says 'Ivan and Dave were having a general discussion and Dave innocently asked him if he would come back to penrith. It then went from there' and turned it off. You honestly buy this?

If so would you like to buy this rock that keeps bears away?

Yeah his mate asked if he'd come back one day. This is backed up by Kent saying Panthers wanted Ivan for 2021 and Ivan wanted sooner rather than later.

He's been held back massively
Really, should he be single handedly winning games with 6 tries, 4 assists, 8 goals a field goal, kiss to the girl in the crowd.

Seems to being just fine at his age, far more to come.

100 games minimum before you see the best, if they get that far.

Im not sure I’d be using Kent in any argument...

It is what it is. Penrith will get their man, but it will cost them a payout to the tiges...as it should.

I think Bottom line Nathan is never going to leave his mates at Penrith. He's 20 years old and has the world at his feet having the time of his life.

Ivan knowing Nathan will not leave is left with one option to coach his son and that is return to Penrith BUT Penrith have an awesome bunch of youngsters on their roster and are poised for greatness which is a credit to their recruiting and system of bringing the players thru. So what happen's to Ivan's dream if someone else gets hold of this team and goes on a winning run? Sayonara any hope of ever coaching Nathan.

Funny thing is Cleary Snr is a pretty handy coach & Nathan probably the best halfback to come along in a while, but looking at Penrith's current roster and add to this the ISP and U20's teams they have at the moment, I dont think they need either Cleary to win a comp. Is it worth all this drama? I dont think so.

And these are the Days of Our Lives...............

The difference is we now have an official source backing up the rumor. Whatever we think of Kent is irrelevant.
