Two wins from first is not out of his depth.
5 of our wins have come after throwing his game plan out the window and winning on natural talent.

Outside of Round 2 vs Souths. All those wins are against teams trying to avoid a spoon. Souths in Round 2 were not that good. Certainly wouldnt surrender a 14 point lead today.

It was unanimous from players to coaching staff that they wanted him gone

I heard that Ivan got sacked in the panthers stadium car park which is pretty low. He wasn't even given a professional termination. Why would you go back to Gus after knowing he is the real coach. Even if it's about Nathan. Just say no and Nathan leaves anyway.

Interesting comments from James Maloney on Big Sports Breakfast this morning.

He singled out the Wests Tigers as a club where players have too much to say in the running of their club hmmmmm

In 15/16 teams the players can still win despite the coach with Canberra being the obvious exception.

Everyone is assuming that the Tigers would release Ivan from his contract if the Panthers approach him. No indications so far that this would occur as it would result in more upheaval for the Tigers than they need at the moment.

Might not be able to stop him.

Unless Cleary has a release clause in his Tigers contract, then the Tigers can prevent him from taking up a position elsewhere whilst under contract. That's established employment law.

If he gives notice I doubt they could stop him. From everything I've read this stuff is hard to uphold in court.
