Why is Reed Mahoney allowed to run 5 metres after a player has kicked the ball, grab him and stop him from following his kick?
It is a deliberate action as he can easily stop or change direction in the time between the kick and the grab. He did it on several occasions last night and prevented Cleary from following his kick, and consistently through the season to other kickers
Just because he doesn’t hit with a tackle doesn’t make it legal.

I wish the little Smurf would get a different coloured hat. Every time he went into a tackle, I thought the ball had been spilt.

Edwards: don't like his hesitation at times, I'd rather see him be aggressive and concede an error or something that would be easier to defend. Otherwise he seemed his usual self. No one is calling for him to be dropped or anything.

To'o: was just nice to have him back.

Luai has been terrible this year. Needs to run more like Girds was saying. Whatever just get involved, I was keen when he went to the right looking for work but it only happened once.

Cleary needs to be better at getting repeat sets and vary his kicking like he is normally so good at.

As said the bench is not working with Kenny and Salmon together.

Nathan should do himself a favour and spend the week watching cam smith at his best for the storm and the maroons..

He could roll it in for 4 or 5 sets in a row for 6 again and still not feel any pressure to score...

Just slowly grind teams down. He knew it would take its toll.

Right now nath and the boys seem frustrated if the dont score by play 4 ffs.

Calm down, slow down. Our attack is lethal but you cant skip getting into the grind with the good teams.

You have to wear them down before pulling the tricks out.

I’d like to see more restarts as well but I don’t see it as a lack of patience; instead I see it as too much patience. Play the long games and keep them down their end for as long as possible; hand the ball back inside the 10 as opposed to the risk of giving them 7 tackles from the 20. Back the defence.

I’d rather see them risk it, but I don’t think it is due to a lack of patience.

Not really. You didn't break us up the middle or ever get around us, didn't win field position from getting over the advantage line or forcing an error through strong defence. You didn't produce any particular enterprising or creative play. If every rugby league game was like the way the Eels played last night it'd be junk. You just caught us on a night where nothing fell our way.

And i like what salmon has done for us this year..hes been solid.

I still think if the 2020 season was little longer and we broke the winning streak by losing a regular season game we would have recouped and gone on to win the comp

That's pretty likely. There was just no moment where they were brought back down to earth.
