We need our own !

Given the clubs profile and making the grand final, I'm amazed we do not have an official forum on the back of Parras website. All the other NRL clubs provide this to their fans. Why don't we???

I'm not knocking LU forums as i think it's fantastic, but an official one would be great.

Just thought an offiicial one would be good to weed out spammers and keep it to "Real" fans.

Maybe the new power brokers at the Eels will look into it.

I guess you forgot about that experiment of getting rid of our fulltime cheer squad and putting in some jumping people.

I was reading the Manly forums and there were posters in there who got logins at the official eels forum and started posting crap.

I sent the link to the mod and they band the Manly trolls.

Then on the Manly website, they posted something like they got found out

I think a better idea would be for the club to have a link to this forum. Hell, I wouldnt mind seeing the NRL, ARL, the clubs, etc etc just giving LU the rights to be its official internet forum. Link them all to League Unlimited.

This forum is too popular and I wouldnt leave. Too many fans here who have alot of know how. I get most of my RL info from here.

For some reason the old forum on the parraeels.com website used to attract heaps of Roosters fans. Most of them were idiots, but they were fun to argue with.

The official forum used to be a Brian Smith love fest. Your posts weren't allowed if you questioned anything about him.

Too heavily moderated, and the mods didn't have the ability to be objective IMO.

Liability is what caused them to Heavily moderate and then shut down the original eels forum.

Let me put it this way. Someone sues LU for Liable, apart from us and those that own the site, there is no real issue for "the game".

Someone sues a club for liable and wins. . . . All of a sudden you can have 2 scenarios I can think of off the top of my head.

1) you have someone who is not involved / doesn't like your club, running your club or
2) Your club has to liquidate asset's, take on loans to pay the damages.

When we consider every membership the club is vital, a damages case of $500,000 could cripple any club.

I also believe the same has happened to a website in Australia recently, ZGeek I think.

The old official forum was a joke IMO.

You couldn't bag the coach or players in the slightest, yet the moderator used to allow cyber bullying of particular posters.
