AS IF the Eels were not travelling badly enough, NRL officials will today descend on Parramatta Stadium to scrutinise the venue's surface, with the increasing likelihood that Saturday night's clash with Manly may have to be moved to ANZ Stadium or even Leichhardt Oval.

So the crowd on Saturday wasn't going to be big, moving the game just ensures it. I know I won't bother going to ANZ or the other oval.

logistical nightmare if they have to play anywhere other than ANZ - at least at ANZ all the ticketed members already have an allocated seat they can just use

We noticed the ground looked a bit "dodgy" from the stand, before the panther player went down with injury. There's no excuse for that, this has been and should be a top level ground.

On the other hand, the way we are playing there is no home ground advantage, so we may as well shop this one over to the soulless cavern at Homebush... and maybe let people in for free (and hand out more merchandise vouchers to members) as a show of good will?

Yeah but that was mostly in the inside 50 area. the Middle of the Park didn't look to bad. The South East corner looked to have a little bog under the grass in the Pocket and the ground did look a little banged up.

Having said that ANZ Stadium has a battery of "Grow lights" that is wheels out nightly to allow the grass to grow continually.
