NZ over again, this time in the opposite corner (their right edge).

Honestly have no clue what happened since I was on the phone ordering some Chinese food.

The conversion is successful.

NZ hit the lead 10-6

(haha just saw the replay, the touchie missed a massive forward pass/offload)

The Kiwis pick up a penalty early in the set after points and find touch just short of halfway.

Matterson comes up with a big tackle as the Kiwis nearly open the right edge of the Aussies up.

The Kiwis continue their assault as they work towards their right edge. Te Maire Martin traps Gutherson in goals with a nice grubber kick.

And huzzah, I now have a computer!

Nikorima has a poor attempt at catching Dockar-Clay's pass and eventually the ball travels forwards after the right centre tries to bat the ball on to his winger.

Soft release for the Aussies.

In reply Australia ruck it out past halfway before they pick up a penalty for a strip.

Hutchinson (?) looks for a quick tap but is called back by the ref and then opts to find touch.

Saunders takes the first charge and from there the Aussies have a world of space to work with.

Matterson brings the ball down the right edge and throws a cut out ball to Aitken who only has to draw and pass to Mamo to level the scores.

That one played out like a training move. Too easy.

The conversion is unsuccessful.

Australia lock the score up at 10-all.

Saunders with the first carry again, this time from the kick off. Australia continue to ruck it out for a further three tackles.

Matterson ends up with the ball on the penultimate tackle, though he has little time or space to do anything and has to take the tackle.

Hutchinson sends up a bomb on the last and NZ make a complete meal of it. There just might be enough time for the line drop out to take place.

Indeed there is and Australia make a half hearted attempt at an attacking play down their right edge but eventually they succumb to the NZ defence and bring an end to the first half.

Half Time

Australia 10 - New Zealand 10

Matterson has been the pick of the Parra boys for mine. Came up with an early line break assist for Aitken and should have been credited with a try assist in the same set after rolling the ball in behind perfectly only for Mamo to squander the chance with a poor attempt at grounding. He has defended strongly through out the half and came up with the money ball that lead to the Aussies locking the score up.

Tanginoa and Aloiai had similar starts to the game, a handful of carries and plenty of defensive work as they plug away and do their jobs.

Zach Dockar-Clay has been busy distributing plenty of ball down the right edge and occasionally swinging down the left. Has one error to his name by my count and has kicked fairly well. Tidy game thus far but Cherrington and Martin have looked more dangerous.

Saunders up again for the kick reception. Ofagenhaue and Lodge follow him but the Aussies turn the ball over after a ball pops up off a shoulder. That might have been Matterson to Mago but I'm not sure.

Aloiai pumps his legs as he charges towards the line but he is pulled down. The Kiwis then try to barge their way over but the nospam29 gets the better of them and they run out of tackles and give Australia possession.

Poor kick from Hutchinson to complete that set. Nikorima took it on the fly and got plenty of return metres.

The Kiwis play out a simple set that earns them sixty odd metres before Gutherson grasses a kick from Te Maire Martin.

New Zealand with another fantastic opportunity to post points.

Wow that was soft! Clay takes it to the line as he sorties down the right edge, he links up with Nikorima with the second man ball before hitting the defence and Kodi simply runs around Jack Bird to score the simplest of tries.

The conversion is unsuccessful.

NZ are in front again 14-10
