Oh dear...terrible start for the Eels as Dockar-Clay lets the ball bounce!

Lavaka darts back to secure the pill but he is confronted by a wall of defenders and is driven in goals for a line drop out!

It it to Parra's left-edge that the Warriors attack first with the early advantage but there is no one at dummy half and Ryan Matterson dives of the ball!

What is going on?

And the Eels put together a solid set that ends in a good kick. That was needed after the bizarre start to the game.

The Warriors work the ball out in return, coming over the half way line on their fourth tackle. Lisone is brought down to bring up the last and Davis gets his first tester of the night.

The kick is high and bends towards the sideline but Davis takes it perfectly.

The Eels are able to graft their way over halfway with some second phase play before Matterson runs the ball on the penultimate tackle. Dockar-Clay's bomb is deep and results in a simple take for the Warriors.

That take from Davis was pretty awesome under loads of pressure, and about 3m from touch

There is an injury concern for the New Zealand halfback Mason Lino.

NZ power forwards for a 60m gain this set. Some powerful ruck work there. They look for another bomb and Leva Li doesn't get anywhere near the ball! He bats it back to Folau who then picks up a penalty for a strip.

Massive pressure release for the Eels.

Kaimkamica takes a good charge after the resumption of play but an error from Fuimaono gifts the Warriors possession. Pressure builds again for the young Eels.

Warriors bomb a certain try.
Got lucky there. The Eels look like they don't want to be out there.

Goodall wraps up Lisone down the left but the Warriors have built for a huge left edge shift...they look certain to score here! No! The last pass is brought back as it is called forwards!

What a missed chance. Parra somehow hold out.

Simple stuff for the Eels as they ruck it out. Strong run from Tanginoa takes the Eels into NZ's half. Matterson bombs it on the last and a crazy sequence of events begins. A Parra bat back gives Kamikamica the ball who in turn offloads to Tanginoa (?) who passes to Lussick who finds Fuimaono. Eventually there is a second kick that sees the Warriors get the ball.

Parra concede a ruck penalty in the following set.

The Warriors send early traffic down Parra's right edge this set and reverse their last raid as they then initiate a shift to the opposite edge. Parra scramble a pull the ball down but then a tackle later give up a penalty for putting a Warrior in a dangerous position.

Massive set here for the Eels.

And they simply can not hold out as Sam Lisone is turned on the inside from dummy half and storms through Fuimaono and another Eels.

It looked like happening on a few occasions but the Warriors have notched up first blood.

The conversion is successful.

NZ lead Parra 6-0

The Warriors are the pool sharks of the NYC.

Were lucky just to make the finals but now that they're there, they've gotten most of their stars on board and they're a tough team to crack.

Eels are shell-shocked.

Warriors go 100m to score in the set after the kickoff.
This could get ugly if the Eels don't start kicking into gear.

Parra will need to lift. Too many errors and too many penalties thus far.

Davis gets us back underway as he hoofs the ball down into the in goals.

Fox Sports have confirmed that Pritchard is out for the season with a medial meniscus tear.

Back to the game, the Warriors have surged up field and blown the Eels apart as Tuimavave (sp) is put through a gap down Parra's left edge by Lolohea (sp).

Davis is beaten down the short side and the cover defence just can not stop him from planting the ball.

Things go from bad to worse for the Eels as their lethargic start continues.

The conversion is successful.

NZ lead Parra 12-0
