he did play about a few games at centre last year than disappeared off the rader a bit, good player actually.

I do remember him from last year, i actually had wondered where he went to, i assumed he was injured.

He is a big guy, something we very much lack in our forwards, i hope we don't persist with him at centre mainly because i think we should develop him for the backrow and we have millions of backs at the club!!!!

Thomas had a major reco last year which took him off the field, was originally expected to be a big outside back, a la Ben Smith

Which would be great but i think in our current depth of backrowers we need some cheaper guys to fill some spaces and this guy could be one of those, then when can afford to keep the likes of KK, Mateo and Inu (if we want to of course)

well there you go, he's probably our best player outside our big 3 (O'Hanlon,Brien and Terapo)

Some of those poly boys are damn big and run hard but damn they go missing in games!

If we can tap into what makes them tick and get them firing for the whole time they are on the field ala Fui then this team can match it with anyone.......talent is there it is just the concentration that is lacking.

TK, from what I have seen, can go missing and can take the wrong option. He's still a young kid, though.

And I have seen him do some great things - against Manly Brien (I think?) scored a cracking try where Amosa took the line on, and then threw a delayed pass to Brien crashing through a gap. It was beautiful.

if there's one bloke who will break through from that grade this year, it's Rory Brien, he reminds me a little of jamie Lyon..not kidding!

Rory has looked good from day 1 last year when he debuted!

Looking very forward to seeing his progression......

Yes, he's definitely a talent. At times out there he makes it look like he's a man playing against boys.

So why are we getting excited about him then? lol. I can see tomorrow's headline "Sea Eagles sign next Jamie Lyon"

because there's only one pig rooter in this comp and he's already there, if Rory can be half as good as the pig rooter I'd be a very happy man.

Any reports from yesterday's 20's game? Stand out players??

I thought TK was good, Rory as usual and Daniel Galati when he came on..I only saw half the game so it was a bit difficult.

O'Hanlon and Terapo were injured and O'Hanlon is out for a few weeks with an ankle injury.

They were competitve for all of about 15 minutes, in that 15 minutes the Raiders scored like 4 tries.

Brien scored 2 tries I think. Very hard to pick good players when they all played crap and missed silly tackles for that 15 minutes!

Just a thought re Sundays game against the Rabbits, at times it looked like we were undersized all across the park. I think I have heard the recruitment officer say things like, I don't worry about size I look for skills, well we were getting dominated in the forwards for most of the game just through size, and it is getting difficult to use these so called skills.

While the end score was close. that was mainly due to the backs getting some room when the Souths big boys got a little tiresd, but we seem to be under the pump and consistently going backwards when the oppostion forwards have possession

Ken Sio was good, and Brien again.

Agreed, we have had a problem in size for quite some time imo and it really shows when you have a team that doesn't have as much skill as previous years.......

We need some BIG forward to come through and quick, our first grade side gets dominated way too often too.....

Well, one thing that we should know is that 10 of the players on the field at the end of the game were 18 years old, against a Souths side considerabley older.

I don't think we have any size in Ball either, certainly none that have filled out enough to compete with what recruitment has done at other clubs
