Well atleast the other two had NRL careers. Tangents was more like Pauli. Over hyped and failed to deliver big time
Kids could have all the talent in the world.

If they don't have the drive or work ethic to succeed they wont.

Sometimes dominating so easily at junior level is the worse thing as well doesn't help once they deal with the big boys and adversity.

A guy like Pauli would have just trampled over everyone as a junior. Once he meets the first graders he cant do that and doesn't have any plan B or skillset to deal with anything else.

Pea heart but his size, speed and power meant he should of been a 10yr NRL player.

Looks like the club are going out of their way to address junior club nepotism allegations.

Net cast wide for Eels junior development squads

Net cast wide for Eels junior development squads

A huge spread of Parramatta Eels’ junior league players have been given the opportunity to train with the Club’s 2023 development squads.

Players from 13 Clubs are represented across the Under 14s, 15s and 16s development squads, as well as the Harold Matthews team.

Clubs represented include Hills, Wenty, Cabramatta, Greystanes, Mounties, All Saints Toongabbie, Rouse Hill, Canley Heights Dragons, Fairfield Pats, Guildford, Marconi, Parramatta City Titans and Kellyville.

More than 600 young players were invited to trial for the squads over a week-long period in August.
Junior league coaches had the opportunity to nominate players to trial, with Pathways Recruitment & Retention Manager Isaac De Gois and his team finalising the squads last week.

“The trials have been great for up-and-coming Western Sydney footballers,” De Gois said.

“This year’s process highlighted and the breadth of talent we have across our junior league clubs.

“We used a holistic approach in selecting the squads, covering every club in the catchment,” he said.

The interest from young players skyrocketed after junior development squads were scratched in the last two years due to COVID.

“The talent we saw came from such a diverse number of Clubs and areas across the Parramatta district,” De Gois said.
“It’s exciting to be a part of the process of discovering and developing future NRL stars from Eels territory,” he said.
Training kicks off in December.

I had my a family members son have a trial lined and didn't get much time or a real a look in. Didn't cut it yet makes Penrith SG BALL squad next year. Who's would be harder to make and has better talent spotting do you think?

I reckon N.Brown will be good. He didn't cut it as a coach but politics and clubs your at didn't help.

Was fortunate to attend the Ken Thornett Medal presentation, spoke to a few senior people .

it was said that Moses played a lot of the season with injuries and JA was on the bench purely for that fail safe.

JA will play as many games as possible in Reggie’s as he needs that for future development.

They have a lot of negotiations going on for other signings. But until the NRL finally provides salary cap for the next 2 years, they have to be cautious. They want a number in particular for 2024 to hopefully finalise negotiations for the halves.

A couple of players In KOE are expected to improve further, Mataele , El Zachem, Taumapatoa and even Cini were mentioned. They also want to see if Hands can do enough to get close to the utility role, but that will be played out early next year.

Said Flegg was the youngest side on the comp and suffered numerous injuries, the fact that they improved as they got players back was mentioned, given they comfortably beat a couple of top teams at seasons end. Ethan Sanders winning player of the year in Flegg while still Ball eligible was very encouraging for a young 7.

Wonder if the club could trial Dantoray Lui as a utility moving forward?

As long as they keep looking outside our little circle, then I'm all for casting a wide net locally.

I mean we scouted Dylbro from Kiwiland and from all reports he wants to stay with us, this sort of thing needs to keep happening, we need a good scouting set up.
I think we are always doing it. We got Reed from qld, Dylan from NZ. Lebron from Qld. Let's not forget Connor Broadhurst also from qld. 🤕
