And people have wondered why Feleti wasn't resigned? Blowing out to 114kgs is part of your answer.

Between the lines, that report on the report implies that the playing roster might have gotten big heads after the run to the 2009 GF, and DA couldn't bring them back to being professional in early 2010 - not with Osborne trying to sign up his mate Kearney as a replacement coach anyway. Despicable.

And you might have had a now ex-CEO telling you as coach you can't recruit until the CEO has secured the signature of Inglis, Cronk, or Quade Cooper...

Absolutely. One person should be responsible for the makeup of the NRL squad, and it should probably be the coach.

The club still hasn't made it clear who decides which players to recruit and retain. Is it Arthur or Anderson?

What? You're not suggesting that the person who will be held responsible for the NRL team's performance should have the ultimate say in recruiting to that sqaud? Like normal businesses? Crazy stuff.

Never had a problem with Ando letting Fatty Mateo go or INU my problem was who he replaced them with. No one, by the sounds it wasn't all his fault but he is hardly blameless

Any guesses on who gave the report to Massoud? I can see see that their hatred for Ando is greater than their passion for Parra and a crisis free season. Probably the usual suspects. Merkins.

3P were white anted the entire time by Fitzy supporters. Now the current mob are being white anted by 3P supporters. It's even now, but still shit. Articles like this will hurt our ability to recruit, just like they hurt us when 3P were in charge.

It takes two agenda-driven groups of merkins to ruin a club. That's why we generally went ok under Fitzy's mediocre reign. It wasn't until a group rose up to challenge him that we went to shit. You tools blaming one side need to pull your heads in.

When you're in charge of retention but not apparently recruitment, then it's hard to lay the blame for recruitment at the person who wasn't allowed to.

Not saying he was perfect (man management/player behaviour issues etc), but elements of the newspaper report just show the anti-DA spin that was put out about the report at the time was politically motivated, so that Osborne could get his man. Looking back it is funny that the blinkered masses on here swallowed the anti-DA whispers hook line and sinker, especially given how well SK's appointment worked out for us.

If Anderson was undermined and made a scapegoat so was Kearney. And just because his replacement failed doesn't mean we should have kept Anderson on. He's obviously unpopular with the players.

Was unpopular. With those players. And he was the only coach undermined by the Board - something Kearney didn't have to face.

At least Kearney was popular with "the lads", which clearly made a difference in performance.

This spanner isn't blaming any side. I just reckon the tool that leaked the report is a merkin. I reckon it's not their first leak.
