If the players fail to execute, they are to blame! But who do you blame if the 17 players fail to execute on 4 consecutive occasions?????

Or the problem could be the coach simply not being able to get the best out of the playing talent, which is his fundamental role.... hence why the poll is 50-50?
Duncan did not act alone he was well supported by Sard and Osborne, the later convinced the Board to change coach and fed incorrect information to the Board about player tensions with DA.
Are u serious. Stagger always yelled about kearney, Milan & Arthur having full control of signing.
Sio, lasalo mannah Blair, keating, reni Morgan, tongas, Roberts, sandow, paulo, allgood have all been signed or had contracts extended under kearney & his team.
Who and how many players has our current recruitment manager signed?
Sandow
Hoppa
Nathan Smith
Ben Roberts (Wayne Bennett pushed)
Mullaney
Both Tonga's were signed by Ozzie
yes, and the same mob won another election last year, why the heck didn't you vote them out??
So on the one hand, Glen Duncan wasn't part of "that mob" (originally)... but then on the other hand he was part of the "same mob" that won the election last year?
I'm getting confused... it's all spinning out of control .
What happened to SK demanding full control over player recruitment and retention? It wouldn't surprise me that Osborne signed both the Tonga brothers considering he used his connections to sign Poore and Tahu when DA was in charge, but it seems just to be a case at the moment of 'blame the guys who've left' for the position we are in.
So your saying that Duncan did play some part in getting rid of DA?
And because he was a major shareholder at the club, with the power he has as our major sponsor tipping in alomst a million dollars a year since 2005, he twisted the board in getting their approval to pay out DA and install the current coach of the NZ National team whom are sponsored by ???
WOW
SK does has full control.
So let's look at SK's signings:
Willie Tonga - Current Australian Centre
Esi Tonga - Obviously signed to lure Willie
Sandow - Argubly was the hottest half back off contract last year and we signed him
Nathan Smith - Handy back up who can cover some positions. Not expensive at all
Jake Mullaney - young up and coming fullback. Not expensive
Ben Roberts - former international player, Wayne Bennett recommended him and has actually looked ok so far
Casey McGuire - extension for 1 yr as a back up 9 as there wasn't much out there that we could afford
Reni - came in half way the season and finished the season well and deserved a contract
I've probably missed a few but we still have a lot of players who wouldn't make first grade at any other NRL side but we have them
We were always on the back foot for 2012, people were wondering why didn't we chase guys like Snowden, Douglas, De Gios, Adam Blair, Champion, etc cause we simply dont have that kind of money available.
I think SK could do with a little bit of help like a coaching director assisting him like a Ricky Stuart/Kevin Moore etc
I'm not saying the 17 are to blame, yes SK needs to develop some kind of strategy/ploy to win us games, but when you put into persepective the 17 he has, we have a very poor playing roster.
The thing is Jodeci, most of the players you've mentioned and said 'no' to, are players SK has either signed himself, or retained for multiple year contracts. This is his team.
Sorry mate I'm just confused because you said it was Ozzie who signed the Tonga brothers as opposed to SK and Nolan???
I agree with your suggestion of coaching director. There's nothing to be ashamed of asking for a little help. At the moment it looks like it's too big a job for one person. And with such an arrangement he can just worry about the every day operation of coaching the first grade side instead of running the whole operation. Other clubs have put similar systems in place for inexperienced coaches and it has worked so it's something the club should be seriously considering. Phil Gould has done pretty well at the Panthers so far and even he's more of CEO than a coaching director he has enough experience in coaching to be able to fulfill that role too, and it is showing.
That's correct. You can add Sio to that list, but obviously SK rates him. Apart from a handful of players the team that he selected on Friday night were all players either recruited or retained by him. So the argument 'he doesn't have the team he wants' is invalid in this case. Chances are no coach will ever the team they want, the salary cap doesn't allow it. So you have to make do with the best team you can make available.

That everyone's realising the coach can't get the best out of them consistently? He got the best out of them last year. Have a look what's changed this year and that's your answer.
PouPou obviously knows what's happening at the club so we should trust him on this. Despite living in Perth he manages to have weekly meetings with the coach and board members and has obviously deducted that from those meetings.
