Both Dave and Don are mates, and like you...or I hope like you..I will object to them being denigrated..in jest or not in jest. Sorry, I don't care if you think David can't coach...or Don is not a good administrator..that's your right. But to call them grubs..when you obviously have had nothing to do with them - or know anything about them and what they do in life outside of football will get me to bite EVERY time.
AND in regards to Papalli not honouring his 'contract'...he had a 13 week cooling off option before it became legal. He had every right turning his back on it.
More fool the Eels announcing his (Josh) signing BEFORE that 13 week period had expired.
Big difference between what Spagnolo and the Board did to Daniel Anderson to what Papalli did 'legally' under the NRL rules...

In the end, if we were dumb enough to pay him cash as a signing bonus without a requirement that his contract be registered with the NRL, then we are idiots. If we paid him an amount in advance pending NRL ratification, then we'll get it back, either soon, or when his new Raiders contract is registered.

I guess it's easier to worry about other clubs issues than our own. For all their problems, including the Furner clan, dog loving etc, the Raiders recent record is less embarrassing than ours.

Furner is a terrible coach that has a fantastic roster at his disposal, and he has led them to nothing in a three year stretch that should have featured at least one grand final. But no, he will never be sacked whilst his family member is in charge.

A roster featuring a forward pack considered by many to be one of the best in the competition with four very good props (considered top class a year or two ago) in Shillington/White/Tilse/Leahroyd-Lahrs, a good back-row for the most part with Papali and Fensom, and a back-line sporting Ferguson, Dugan, Croker and Campese is a bad roster?

Though injuries have played a part - and now Dugan's bad behavior - they have had one of the best young rosters in the competition for the past three seasons. You can't seriously sit here and tell me Furner's appalling coaching - given actual Raiders fans will say the same - isn't to blame.

Do us a favour; if you aren't going to support Parramatta and say you are supporting another club, actually watching their games more than once a year might be a good idea.

Under whose watch did those players develop??? It's like saying Craig Bellamy took over a 'world beating' team, and had nothing to do with making them champions...
