OSBORNE’S AWKWARD RETURN
PAUL Osborne, the former Parramatta CEO who resigned before he was pushed because of a falling out with major sponsor Pirtek, will feature in a Raiders reunion on Saturday night — just before the game against the Eels.

Osborne’s two-year stint in the top job at Parra from 2009 to 2011 was eventful.

He will join Gary Belcher, Steve Walters, Jason Croker, Luke Priddis, Phil Carey and Ashley Gilbert for the second Forever Green reunion.

During the inaugural reunion last year, Canberra spanked the Wests Tigers 60-6.

I watched the Fox show with the all female panel the other night. Greenburg was being challenged re the AFL Vrs NRL approach to women playing in their respective sports. Greenburg wouldnt hear that the NRL were well behind the AFL on this issue. In his defence, Greenburg sited a recent Womens match where the Australian fullback, Greg Inglis presented the jersey to "the womans team fullback". He had no idea who she was. Yeah Todd. You convinced the hell out of everyone with that statement. What a bozo. Talk for talks sake. Some substance would be nice.

I reckon the women's comp will get better coverage from the NRL and other stakeholders when the fans start giving a f**k. And no you cant make people care by putting it on TV.

I saw that too ... greenburg was f**kin hopeless in that interview ... and to their credit the chicks asked him questions which other f**ksticks in the media seem scared to

One other thing i remember from the interview, they asked something along the lines of what is the nrl doing to make the game experience better, to compete with the entertainment the big bassh etc are doing ... his answer was f**king useless - just said the nrl is taking advantage of the great inestment in stadiums - so basically the nrl is doing f**k all

the guy is deadset an inept f**king waste of space

In Greenburg's defence, the greedy players only seem to care that we match the AFL in player salaries. This constant push for more money to players (and clubs) limits where else the NRL can spend its money. Contrary to popular belief it's not going into Greenburg's (or Grant's) pockets.

How can you give a f**k about something you've never seen before ?

Quiet easily, you show a few games on TV and let the fans decide for themselves

Look who's back ...

Roy Spagnolo is back at Parramatta games ... in the opposition sheds. There were a few gobsmacked faces at the Eels on Saturday when their former chairman was seen waltzing through the tunnels at GIO Stadium as a guest of Canberra coach Ricky Stuart. If you don't remember, Spagnolo was the one who trumpeted Stuart as "the greatest signing since Jack Gibson" when the Eels unveiled him as Stephen Kearney's successor back in 2012 (pictured above).

Despite his messy exit from Parramatta, the NRL had no issue with Spagnolo being invited into the Raiders' inner sanctum.

"While several former Parramatta officials had been found 'not to be fit and proper' to be on a Leagues Club Board, this did not preclude them from attending a Rugby League match as guests of a club," an NRL spokesman said.

It is interesting to note, former Eels chief executive Bob Bentley, who was also responsible for luring Stuart to Parramatta, was spotted on a video on the Raiders website in the background of the Canberra post-match victory song.
