Pete, your drivel of late has been rather painful to read!

Take it to the Raiders forum

But honestly, you lived and witnessed the glory years which is a great thing.... I was too young to remember 1986, my first live Eels game was 1996, and I've been utterly hooked ever since.

I don't think anything that happens within the footy club, politics wise, could ever out weigh what's in my heart, which bleeds blue and gold!

Thank god you said "your drivel of late"..I was under the impression you always thought I posted drivel.
Pleased to see you bleed blue and gold. So did I, once.
Sad to lose passion. It happens when you are not prepared to take anything dished up on the menu of like it or lump it.
Wonder how people would react when Nathan Hindmarsh gets the tap on the shoulder....and it can happen.

So let me get this straight pete, the horror that was Parra from the late 80's to the mid 90's wasn't enough to turn you away from the club, yet a single bad season in 2010 has you running to the Raiders? Hilarious stuff

And you know the year before that he played at North Queenland in the NYC, making 19 appearances, 11 at Fullback, 2 at Half back and 6 on the bench?
Well there you have it, on your own figures when you add in the next 2 years of all of Qld cup at 5/8 and most of his Wenty games he has played more 5/8th than fullback.

Crazy he started the year at Fullback for Wenty and played 9 Games there between Rounds 1 and 6 and Rounds 21 -23. He also played Fullback in First grade Twice Round 11 and 17. He played 5/8th 10 times at Wenty and once at First grade. (Which makes 11 at each position just so we are counting) He also played 1 game at Half Back for First grade (Broncos Home) and 2 off the Bench, he also injured his hand in his last First grade game in New Zealand and was out for a week.

Now, I have seen the kid play, and I think he has a future in the game no doubts, but this year, would he have been better than Mortimer. I honestly don't think so, but I guess we will never know.

Fair enough MITS, seems his time has been fairly evenly split between 5/8th and FB then.

I do think he should have been given a proper chance at 5/8th this year when Morts was really struggling, couldn't have gone much worse, but he wasn't so you are correct in saying we'll never know.

No, in this parable it would be me who became the Raiders fan. :sarcasm:
But you're far too loyal to throw your toys out of the cot and desert your team over such a trifle Snoochies, us genuine supporters endure through the bleak times ;-)

You do always post drivel.

Just this drivel is more unbearable!

Not even a string of wooden spoons in the sixties, or seventies could either. I have no problem with the on-field form of the players..just with this mob of clowns running the joint...
Too many leaks, too many impromptu decisions, too much flip flop...Micky..my departure has NOTHING to do at all with the players or their form.
My PASSION for the Club has been squeezed out of me and I can't stand the frustration of seeing a once great organisation - an organisation I grew up with wearing my heart on my sleeve - going down the gurgler.
I didn't just start following the Eels last year, or the year before....I started way back in 1960, and a lot of water has passed under the bridge since then. I have seen them come and go..but in my opinion, the Club has lost that 'X FACTOR'...but it is just a sport to me these days.
You follow the Club--or team - anyway you like. Your decision. If you are happy with the direction, good - that is your decision.
If you have to make a decision, and don't make one, that too is a decision only YOU can make. No hard feelings, I hope.

There's plenty of water but they don't really know how to use it properly. They're still doing their best to make sure most of it doesn't make it past Menindee into S.A.

I thought it didn't rain in Hay. How do you get lawn when there is no water?

Poured on the weekend...We have had some great rain this year.
Suity, I was going for a nana nap, but my 20 month old grandson just arrived. Talk about Whelan the Wrecker...and he loves his POP...Awwwwwwwww

That's wonderful pete. My parents love their grand children - all 14 of them.
Can't spend enough time with them.

One thing though - I'll bet you can spit a dummy further than your grandson.
