he’s 3 games into a 3 year contract, give it a rest.

Unless we are very cash strapped, I am not sure having 3 years left on a contract means anything these days.

I think the three things that might save Green are:

1 Past achievements/ Faith
2 No obvious candidate to replace him with
3 The issues go much further than Green. I think that whether we remove Green or keep Green, we are in for a long year regardless.

One thing is for sure. I see a lot of similarities to the form we showed in 2008 that led to us sacking Muzza (albeit we had already decided to not renew his deal in the prior off-season).

Muzz didn’t get sacked for the teams on field performance.

My understanding is there were dressing room issues dating back to much earlier (somewhat overshadowed by grand final and preliminary final appearances). This is why we were not going to extend him beyond 2008.

But my point is that results were so poor in early 2008, the club didn't even give Muzz the ability to finish off the season.

The club had no other option. I’m not going to go into details.

anyways, we are currently shit, Green will be safe for 2019 regardless, next year not so much if it continues on to 2020.

I still think things would be much easier for all concerned if Green turned it around. But I just have little hope based on what we've dished out in recent times, and the coaches stubbornness to do things his way. But it is neither all his fault. There are many things going on out there that even a new coach would not be able to fix over night. Our club legends look past it, and our next generation have serious issues with their attitude when there is pressure.
